Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
I have this in the Mafia Charts forum, but wondered if anyone has a list of who was in the administration and who the capos were and where in the 90's under Salemme? Reviewing New England stuff and realized I was fuzzy on early to mid 90s NE structure. No idea on underboss and consigliere, but thought DeLuca was captain in Providence and Frank's brother and Rossetti were captains in the Boston area. But who else? Granted it was a messed up time so things may not be clear cut.
Re: Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
baby shacks was his underboss. rizzo was a capo in revere i think. it gets cloudy cause salemme said himself he would induct guys on the fly in basements and shit. he was so cerncerned about the recording in medford he wasnt gonna get caught like that. no one identified bobby delucas brother as a made guy till he took the stand a few yours ago. he said he was inducted by salemme and baby shacks in 93 for moving disarros body. i wonder how many guys salemme inducted in the boston area from 1992 ro 95. he had to make the guys loyal to him. think st laurent was a capo in the 90tys and deluca for the providence faction

Re: Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
Alexander Rizzo was the UnderBoss and Charles Quintina was the Consigliere for most of his reign. Both of them were Boston based. I vaguely recall Jackie Salemme and James Martorano being Boston based Capos but I'm not positive on that.

Re: Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
Nash's post just confirmed that James Martorano was indeed a Capo. Also that Manocchio was the UnderBoss by the early 1990s so Rizzo would have been UnderBoss by the late 1990s when Manocchio took over.

Re: Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
And I believe Jackie Salemme served as Acting Boss for a period after Frank was indicted in 1995.

But in terms of captains, are we going with DeLuca Rossetti, Jackie Salemme, Martorano?

Edward Romano was a Providence based Capo under Salemme.

Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment. Also Angelo Iaconi likely continued on as a Capo under Salemme.

Re: Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
Thanks Pogo. I'm just trying to think of what that would look like in 1991-1992-1993.....Is Salemme dealing with like eight captains in three states? And he may have. Just curious as to what that looks like.Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 8:47 pm Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment. Probably not that many. They were hit pretty hard with that 1990 indictment. About a 1/3 of the members were locked up including the entire administration and most of the Captains so I'm sure some of the crews were consolidated.
If I'm not mistaken he was indicted in the late 1990s. I think he was insctive after that.

Re: Frank Salemme's Admin/Capos Question
Patricia family and IOC has been decimated more than any one of the 5 families by informants. You can argue Massino or Gravano or whoever, but Bonannos are up and running again, Gambinos are the 2nd strongest you can argue. Bulger secretly ratting out the Anguilos and all them, Rosetta, Salemme, DeLuca...
