whenever people mention bosses not meeting with associates, one instance that really disproves that IMO is the chin not only routinely meeting with pete savino, but refusing to whack the guy after the boss of another family told him that savino was a rat. i can't even imagine another boss refusing the chin if he asked them to kill an associate.
