Okay...not the most inept, but Fratianno was pretty bad for a made guy. A blowhard, complains about everyone he worked with, spent a ridiculous amount of time in prison, in the end has multiple families wanting him dead, and at the end before he cashed out and went into witness protection he had like $30,000 to his name. But he's the "Last Mafioso" ? Gimme a break.

I can assure you Pennisi isn’t the most inept made guy of all time. Pennisi was at least trusted by multiple heavyweights. He participated in actual sit downs.
You underestimate the number of absolute morons that have gotten their button. That’s why Franzese says one of the most realistic mob movies is Analyze This, because it correctly illustrates how many guys involved in the life are total idiots. Hell look at Joe Electric in Philly. The guy was in his mid 60s, selling drugs and robbing armored trucks. But he was also blabbing about it to someone who was wired up. He was caught on a wire celebrating his criminality and acknowledging how dangerous and deadly the Fentanyl he was selling was. That seems way more inept than anything Pennisi did.

If you wanna say Pennisi was involved in the least amount of criminal activity of any made guy, then sure. But that’s not what inept means.
