In which European city Italian OC has street presence
I mean out of Italy itself, in which city of European countries do Italian crime groups have a strong street presence? By street presence I mean actual crews, territory control and local-based criminal activities instead of simple hideouts/businesses/money laundering fronts. Italians are active in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Spain but it seems most of the cases we have heard of are related to either the drug trade or money laundering, the clans are based in Italy and are very low-key in other European cities.
So is there any place where Italians control territories like in North America?

I have a PDF of a 258 page report by Anna Sergi in my iBooks which would be useful to you but I don’t know how to share it here

Thanks man, just gave it a brief glimpse, very useful report. Looks like the street presence in Switzerland is quite strong, and it makes a lot of sense because of the geographical proximity. Also for Germany, "the German Ministry of Interior and Justice claims that between 800 and 1000 ‘ndrangheta members are currently operating in Germany", I believe he means affiliates/associates not members, otherwise it would be an unbelievable number.

I don't,many members of ndrangheta emigrated in Germany in the 1950s and they form independent ndrine because its enought that 7 santisti ask the permission to San Luca create a ndrina and 7 ndrine create a Locale that have connections with the Calabria but for the other things it are independent. In Germany after the 1989 the ndrine used the drug money to buy the factories that were auctioned off during the dissolution of east germany.ThutmosisChen wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 5:45 pmThanks man, just gave it a brief glimpse, very useful report. A german journalist wrote a book on the ndrangheta but she was sued for defamation and losing the case must delete many names of ndraghetisti.

Re: In which European city Italian OC has street presence
I've seen a high presence of street level hoods that were obviously working for higher level drug dealers in palermo specifically Ballarò and Vucciria. They got kids on the ground spotting and others whistling to get your attention to see if you want to drugs. Those markets have been ran by the mafia for centuries so it isnt a surprise that there is some influence there
Edit: I just read your talking outside of italy but I figured I'd share my experience

Yeah I mean in southern Italy the mafia runs everything don`t they? Every street-level dealer/thug is either connected to them or pays tribute to them otherwise they would be dead.JohnnySalami wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 3:19 am I've seen a high presence of street level hoods that were obviously working for higher level drug dealers in palermo specifically Ballarò and Vucciria.
