Think he'd survive that day if L.A. gang members/Eme or Fresnicks/AB saw the same?

He did. It was on one of those Vlad interviews on YouTube. The ones where he has the suit on.

If that really went down, it's kind of funny and ridiculous. Hootie made some pretty crazy passive accusations against Basciano too - claiming Basciano published a book about himself from prison (clearly the Author's name...same Author who wrote unauthorized bios on Carneglia and Massino...is right on the fucking cover) and saying that Basciano "got out" of having that hit list with the prosecutors on there
To be fair, Hootie semi-corrects himself and claims Vinny Gorgeous supplied DeStefano with info for the book.

I read the book. It didn't have anything from Vinny b. It was all from old new paper articles and trial transcripts. I thought it was good but it was missing a person that was there. In murder machine capeci had Dominic to fill in voids and shit. DeStefano could have used maybe Dominic cicale or someone close to Vinny to fill the voids but cicale wasn't even around Vinny except a year or 2 towards his imprisonment

Yeah I enjoyed the Basciano book as well but you can tell the author is missing pieces of info, particularly from Basciano’s side of things. Especially regarding the big heroin case he beat. It was also lacking in detail about Basciano’s pill business.

I mean hes completely off base with Vinny giving that guy info for the book. Kinda makes me think he's going full alite. There was zero info from any one in bascianos camp that why the book was kinda dispointing. Even a lawyer no one gave the author shit. And now hootie saying this guy al had a incident with Vinny b at raos. In 2004. I think Vinny would have snuck him with in a few weeks and we never heard a thing from any other rat. Idk seems like hootie might have exaggerated the whole thing

Who was the Lucchese Consigliere and Genovese Underboss that were with Basciano when this supposedly went down? This was 2004. Bronx based admin for both families at the time?

I don't have a hard time believing the story that Al may have said something to Basciano that was out of line, but the part about him essentially threatening everybody in Rao's on his way out the door sounds like some bullshit that got peppered on there. If anything that seems like the biggest transgression

Yandell would have issued a murder order off a smuggled Galaxy Note 2 from AdSeg... lol

Maybe a different topic for a different thread, but did you hear Powder's live call-in last week? He goes over the Yogi hit and basically said that the BGF higher ups approved it

I could have my wires crossed but I always thought he got busted for a commercial burglary and turned into an active CI after.

I don't have a GL account but 2011-2012 was a good year for Capeci as he covered the fallout from this and the other "mafia takedown day" indictments. He had some great articles on Santos, Mascuzzio, the Trucchio Crew, etc.

The Trucchio crew indictment was fucking massive now that I think about it. A shit load of guys were in that thing and they packed in such a garden variety of crimes, it's kind of insane. They had kids who were selling pills and driving associates around Queens on the same paperwork with Vernace and his bar room murders from the 80s. I get why they do it, but they could have probably made like 3-4 separate indictments out of that thing.

Yeah Capeci had 2 separate articles specifically written about Hootie back in 2011, calling him a Trucchio crew member in both. The first one talked about how he flipped because he was facing 20 years+ for trafficking multi kilogram quantities of cocaine and marijuana, and the second article was about how Hootie tried to pull some scummy shit with his original lawyer after he agreed to cooperate. I can’t remember what he did specifically. It wasn’t illegal, moreso unethical. And the other defense lawyers were ripping him for it. Hootie doing some scumbaggy unethical shit? Sounds like a day that ends in Y.

Hate to request but could anybody with a gang land account look for any and post them I would appreciate it.

I’m interested in these relatively “younger” crew like trucchio, Ronnie G and In a way the Amato crew. These are like the only crews where everyone wasn’t a fucking dinosaurs

I hear ya. I'm more interested in the modern / younger stuff myself.

I remember one of the GLs talking about how on the day of the arrest, the feds showed up at the wrong house for Trucchio and had to call him and ask him where he was living. Another one had some of the back-and-forth between Santos and Todd LaBarca who he got on tape.

Forget the GL's... what would be great to get a hold of would be trial transcripts. I'm not sure whether Santos testified or not, I just assumed that some of Capeci's articles around that time came from his testimony.
