Hits On The Sneak During Early 90s Colombo War?

Post by Adam »

Hi everyone. Was rereading a couple books this week. Was looking through "Surviving the Mob" about DiDonato....okay book....but he mentions that he wanted to kill someone during the Colombo war of the early 90s and that Nicky Corozzo said no to a hit because of the Colombo war causing headlines, but that DiDonato already knew Corozzo was a hypocrite and that the Gambinos had killed people during that time in an effort to hide their own killings in that war. Which makes sense, but I'm not sure if it's true. Any murders anyone can think of that other families might have done with the cover of the Colombo War? Not intentional, but the "Mob Story" book about Paciello mentions that the October 1992 murders of Neil Nastro and Vincent Dippipo by Tommy Reynolds and Joe Calco for the Bonannos was reported as a possible Colombo War thing at the time. Just wasn't sure if people can think of murders that other families did from late 1991-1993 that they were hoping the Colombos would get the heat for.
