Yeah I read that too. Capeci wrote last year that he was collecting money on the street for Al and giving it to his family after they were all indicted. Frank was out on bail but Mike Roccaforte and Trucchio were detained. Fucked up if he tried to extort him.

Joseph Corozzo jr said to Al "so it's every man for himself" They were reportedly shouting at each other. Vernace replaced Corozzo as consigliere maybe before then or just after. Nick Corozzo was the one who seemed to be in power despite only being a few years into his sentence. It came out in the Nicky Skins tapes that Corozzo still had a lot of influence with the admin.

Who says he retired by choice? Last we heard on him Capeci wrote about Trucchio and Nick Corozzo being at the same halfway house. He could be off the shelf now for all we know but if the incident with Vernace is true then possibly not because as Browniety86 said, Vernace and Cefalu were very close. If Trucchio insulted Vernace Cefalu could hold that grudge and keep Trucchio on the outs.

the story i read about howard santos is crazy. trucchio seen his buddys car in some part of queens so he drove around the block looking for him and bam santos is leaning into a federal agents car window talking to him. i seen something like this in real life. i worked at a factory and use to see a drug squad cop drive into the parking lot in a beat up bronco now hes on duty but in a narc car. he'd met this dope head pan handler who would hold the sign. well he works as a informant giving up guys for a few bucks. i would see them in the parking lot every mid day of the week 1 2 in the afternoon for like 6months. crazy. wasnt my business but just a casually looking out the window observation. i see the bronco pull in then 5 mins later the bum would come strolling in the lot for a 5 min chat and be gone till next week.
