ronnie was a street guy. the younger guys looked at him like he was god because he was official, he was respected by made guys because he was legit. a tough guy and an earner but just wasnt part of that "inner circle" gotti crew. he was from oz and was sure as shit a gangster but johnny carnig/quack quack/ tony lee/ jimmy brown/ corrozo ..those guys were jusg on a different level. trucchio was more gotti jr speed. if im saying it correctly.

All the old YouTube vids you can see Ronnie in the Bergin and the Ravenite, but he wasnt close to Gotti? How'd Tony Lee get so close to Gotti? Had to be through Fat Andy right...

who said he wasnt close to gotti? i said he wasnt on the level of those guys mentioned as far as a rackateer. he was purely a street guy..drugs/loans/gambling/scores... those guys up top where running all types of scams as well. stock fraud. unions..they were businessmen involved with things at a way deeper level

Youre obviously very familiar with LCN around the Queens area...one thing I've always wondered was if Bobby Vernace was a Gambino associate from the early 80s or before on, why was he not made until 1998?

he was locked up for most of 90s.. plus he was kinda loose cannon.. obviously cant speak for them but im assuming that had to do with it.
