I learned about this from Angel Gottis Instagram which is ironic since they never talk about John Favaru


Has anyone seen this mentioned in court?Id imagine Gottis defense would use this to discredit him or was it swept under the rug ?

That is site is not accurate as it attributes the John Favara killing to Gravano. That hit was done by the Gotti Crew. Gravano hadn't even met Gotti when this killing went down.

The Kaiser killing was unsolved until Gravano brought it up during his debriefing. I believe he was a Colombo associate at the time and I doubt Gotti knew anything about it.

Kaiser was 16, not 14. It was one of the 19 murders he admitted and he talks about it in Underboss I believe.

Kaiser was shotgunned to death because he was walking with Aldo Candido, who was the actual assassination target. In the past Gravano was on record saying how Kaiser was the victim of a mistaken identity, but this seems to be a lie according to contemporary reports. They likely blasted Candido without giving a fuck about any collateral damages.

Unfortunately, not that surprising. Gravano even old as dirt with no hair and with drawn on eyebrows is a charismatic man. He knows how to tell a good story and is one of the few gangsters that can be considered 'celebrities' based on his background and involvement in historical LCN events. I can't remember who said it on this board, the other one, or on the RD years back, but there's no real difference between mafia fanboy/fangirls and Taylor Swift fans. Also, I agree with your take on Gravano. From what I saw of his YouTube videos, he doesn't strike me as a reformed man. Actually, he strikes me as a man who doesn't even care to present himself as a reformed gangster.

Yeah I agree. Maybe it’s all those movies that gave them that this is a harmless man. People will argue “Scorsese glorifies the mob” but somewhere I read said if you look at his movies where everyone either dies, goes to witsec or dies old and alone but most people don’t think that far it’s “cool these people only harm each other”. When in reality these people are just as dangerous as your average street thug

Gravano actually tells the story of why Kaiser was killed in his book, he just omits the fact that Kaiser was a teenager.

According to Gravano, 12 bikers showed up at his after-hours club and tried to shake him down, a fight ensued, Gravano broke his ankle on the curb, then the cops showed up and the bikers ran off. Castellano gave the OK to kill the bikers. Gravano (with crutches and a cast on), Milito and someone called Danny found the lead biker and shot him, but he ran away. Then "the other guy" came up to them, confused or stoned according to Gravano, and Milito blasted him with a shotgun.
