Re: New Decavalcante book notes
I do want to mention how he goes on and on about being made an official associate of the Decavalcante's under Stango. Again, not to belittle, but is that really a big deal for a small North Jersey family crew in 2015? It really does read like him trying to liken himself to Pistone who was actually up for membership and infiltrating a family for the first time 35 years earlier.

Can you know for the book who got arrested and how much time they got?Dave65827 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 1:58 pm Here’s some notes or things I found interesting from the book in the first chapters
- Officer originally worked in a organized crime task force which according to him was mostly old timers and old bookies
- An investigation into drug dealing by James Heeney “Jimmy smalls” is what triggered the whole operation.
- Jimmy smalls running a small op with a couple of dealers. Is confirmed to have ties to bloods gang members
- According to Giovani the word on the street was that they where Associates of the Bruno-Scarfo family of Philly despite them not saying so but they went along with it
- Jimmy Smalls falls for this and engages in a sting op where he gives them low quality coke for swag (stolen goods) and receives $7,000 worth of shoes
- Jimmy Smalls introduces the UC to the Ribera club
- Informants identified Decavalcante associate Luigi Oliveri as the supplier of these drugs
- Jimmy tries to keep Giovani away from Luigi as he says “he is no good” and that “he’ll never make it to the books”
- Jimmy smalls brags to him that his uncle is a Decavalcante Soldier Charlie Stango as Smalls brags he is a made guy, killer and to be promoted to capo
- Luigi is shocked That Smalls says this to an outsider and tries to downplay what he said
I mean is all that came out of this was the Stango murder for hire and his sons operation(s).

Anthony Stango got 6 yrs for for selling 1,915 grams of cocaine, planning a prostitution operation and possessing a 12-gauge shotgun as a convicted felon
Paul colella charges dismissed
Frank Nigro charges dismissed
John Capozzi -30 months
Luigi Oliveri- unknown possible just a fine he was just charged with selling untaxed cigarettes
Nicholas Degido- 27 months
Rosario Pali- 76 months
Mario Gali- 76 months
James Heeney- five years. I think i found his linkdin and i found out he is a member of Building Construction Laborers Local 3 In Elizabeth,NJ
Overall pretty weak bust Not to downplay what The UC did but getting all these outside players of a already weak criminal organization maybe they should've focused this op on some other family or group
Here’s a pic of everyone arrested

Re: New Decavalcante book notes
I think so
Re: New Decavalcante book notes
so even stagno sr. figured out the guy was a fbi agent? he called him and tried talking his way out of the crimes. why he ask the cop to stop bringing his nephew down but not his own son? atleast the agent included all the fuck ups in the book a show of his humility
Re: New Decavalcante book notes
Not necessarily the agent claims stango explained it as a “nightmare” in which the Agent was covered in “wires” connected to somebody elsePmac2 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 6:51 pm so even stagno sr. figured out the guy was a fbi agent? he called him and tried talking his way out of the crimes. why he ask the cop to stop bringing his nephew down but not his own son? atleast the agent included all the fuck ups in the book a show of his humility

Re: New Decavalcante book notes
Hi guys- I'm reading this book and I cannot figure out who the real names are and which are pseudonyms.
If you guys can tell me who the Gambino fake names are and Decalvacante fake names I would really appreciate that and think the other readers on here would benefit from that. Don't know enough about the Decav's to surmise who the fuck is who. I'm confounded by the Decavs and really confused about the players involved post Riggi. Any help or insight is appreciated.
Regards,
CB
