Speaking of wiretaps I came across this opening salvo that reads like an intro to a movie/show or book, its about Nicky Skins:

They said he was a “good man” and “solid as a rock.”

Why were Basciano and Massino in-line for the death penalty? Why then specifically and not any other mobsters?

I have two questions about Vinny:

1) I know he was young in the famous Guiseppe Bono wedding pic, but if he was affiliated with the players in that picture why did it take him so long to be made after?

2) Was he the actual shooter in the Frank Santoro murder, the guy who threatened to kidnap his kids?. Or was it Bruno Indelicato?

He also started plumbing work in Vinnys house and never completed it.The kid had balls usually when the boss asks you for a favour like that you do it but this guy didnt give a fuck

Basciano and Cicale were the shooters. Indelicato and Anthony Donato drove the cars.

"It was January 2004, and the lawyer was delivering his first illegal message between the Bonanno leaders. Lee told Vinny Gorgeous that Massino, then detained on murder and racketeering charges, wanted him to "take the reins of the Bonanno crime family." The lawyer said he remembered Basciano's reaction very well.

This was the exchange I was thinking of. Thanks. From the way Basciano reacted it doesn't sound like he had appointed himself Acting Boss. He sounded surprised and excited. And it was right after Urso was taken off the streets so it wouldn't have given Basciano much time to have appointed himself. There may hsve been a miscommunication between and Massino and the lawyer that was then relayed to Basciano.

Basciano and Cicale were the shooters. Basciano with a shotgun and Cicale with a pistol, though the autopsy showed Cicale missed all his shots. Anthony Donato was the driver and Indelicato was the blocker. There was also an unidentified guy called John who was in the block car with Indelicato.

I read in the book sixth family that a lot of his family disowned him and did not enter witsec
