John Gotti Jr's proffer session

Post by Lutty12 »

John alite mentions a lot about this proffer session Jr had with the FBI in 2005 and this is easily found on https://www.scribd.com/document/4895232 ... or-FBI-302. Are the Gotti family hypocrites as they love to call other people rats? Michael Franzese and Gotti jr love the excuse that they haven't put anyone in jail but neither did Alite so why is he called a rat?

Seems like Junior was willing to cooperate but they just couldn't come to an arrangement. He even gave up his own uncle on a murder. But it all worked out for him in the end. In hindsight the feds should have offered him a better deal. They spent how many millions trying to convict him?

Its on video tape
1999 when then-35-year-old Junior spoke to his dying father for the last time at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri.

“It was very difficult for him to ask his father permission to leave [the lifestyle],” said Stratton. “His father wasn’t happy about it. In the tape, you can see his father basically ripping through Junior. ‘Where’s your dignity? Where’s your manhood?’ But then he changes at a certain point. He becomes a father, instead of the godfather and the boss of the Gambino family. He understands that the life he led can go one or two ways. You die in prison or you die on the street.”Still, Stratton noted Junior was “brave” for coming forward and asking his father “for closure,” an alleged code word for leaving the mob.

If I'm not mistaken that conversation was in regards to taking a plea deal on his pending indictment. Not walking away from the life.

Pogo, pogo, pogo. When will you just accept the mafia revisionist history that Junior Gotti has successfully applied? This is America after all

He used it in the RICO case that was a good move , But his words "I can't do this. This is your life. This is not my life." To his father... Then walking away is tantamount to quitting the mob , I guess you can split hairs on this but he never went back to crime and the Gambino's, He is quoted as saying he rather be a" Latin King " then a Gambino

They tried to spin it that way but he didn't walk away in 1999. He kept his Capo rank up to at least 2002 when DiLeonwrdo flipped and he was still getting money from some of his businesses. If he did quit it came years after that conversation.

John Sr. should have replied, "OK, you give back the money and that house in Oyster Bay that all came from my life and you can go."
All roads lead to New York.

Yes Pogo your right ,They spun it into the 5 year RICO predicate acts , but it was a transition from that point on ... I would say he was looking for a way out more then looking to stay in ,

Did JR really say that just to beat the RICO is a good question ,If you take the proffer session and what he said to his father together , You would think he wanted a way out, As he is a Gottis Son not a easy task

Did Junior ever get formally indicted for the Silva murder? It seems like a rock-solid case from this 302 along with the witnesses.

Isn’t that because Ronnie One Arm said in court that he was scared of Alite or something?
