I know that you’ve posted that the Castrogiovanni family was from Aragona. Have you ever come across any firmer links to Rockford LCN, aside from being compaesani?

They were well-to-do early on and I'm under the impression that at least old man Tony Castrogiovanni may have been a front for some of their operations, specifically in the liquor license area. I find it interesting Joe was questioned about Italian individuals living and deceased in relation to the casino.PolackTony wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 7:29 pm I know that you’ve posted that the Castrogiovanni family was from Aragona. I agree that it’s interesting, given that the shooting incident occurred in 2020. Someone in LE apparently thinks it’s still worth investigating potential links to Rockford LCN.

Re: Interesting Read On Rockford Casino
There are many in the Rockford area of questionable character that would love to see a casino there. Many Italians run slot places or have an interest in businesses with slots. Starting in the early 1990s one of the biggest supporters of a casino in Rockford was Phil Priola, Jr., son of Rockford member Phil Sr. The son was part of a group that formed to try and bring a casino to Rockford. Junior was also mentioned in FBI files as he was an AFL/CIO union guy and he was known to host high stakes poker games at his bar in relation to the LCN connected gambling ring. He was given prison time for cheating the IRS and keeping two sets of books.PolackTony wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 7:38 pm I agree that it’s interesting, given that the shooting incident occurred in 2020. I was surprised when they were going to put the temporary casino at that location. Cavita, any idea who he shot at? I would guess they would have to sign complaints on him

I have no idea. This article was the first I had heard about the incident and I'm surprised because the grapevine was very quiet on it too.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 7:02 am I was surprised when they were going to put the temporary casino at that location.
