Right after Pat Musitano was shot and killed, Avignone and John Clary — who were with Musitano — are believed to have “chased the gunman as he peeled away, apparently striking his get-away car with their own, a source said.” Clary was definitely shot in the incident and was taken to hospital. (https://pressreader.com/article/281496458586838)

Because “RAT” had been spray painted on Avignone’s garage door, one reporter went so far as to write: “But experts say even the killing of Pat's brother Angelo Musitano, who was shot dead outside his home in 2017, may have raised doubts about Avignone's loyalty.” (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton ... -1.5654868)

One variable I think needs to be considered in all this is how Pat Musitano’s relatives told him to stay away from his uncle Tony’s funeral. The relatives apparently had already been keeping their distance from Musitano. So the fact Avignone was with him up to the end may speak to Avignone’s loyalty to him. Maybe not.

If Musitano was at loggerheads with Rocco and Nat Luppino, as well as with Dom and Joey Violi, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Luppinos arranged for someone to spray paint Avignone’s garage door and to torch two of his cars — this deflects from both the Luppinos’ possible involvement in Musitano’s murder and their nephews’ talking not only with a paid police agent (Vincenzo Morena) but also to undercover police officers as a result of the agent’s machinations.

If the Buffalo Family leadership in Buffalo does not do anything about the Violis’ talking and doing business with Morena and undercover cops, including having the Violis murdered, the inaction may speak volumes.

I wonder where the theory Pino betrayed Pat came from, like have I missed something that suggests this? They were cousins and both considered eachother brothers and I know that doesn't always mean much in LCN. But if people suspect someone sold him out why wouldn't they think Clarly was the one who betrayed him

Clary got injured in July 2019 when, while checking on Musitano's vacant house, Clary felt compelled to speed up toward a car he spotted across the street, the driver and occupants of which were from Montreal.

If law enforcement and inside sources knew before Angelo Musitano's murder that Avignone was somehow complicit in Angelo's murder -- or if a discovery was made shortly after the murder -- that's one thing. But perhaps the "experts" looked at the proximity of Pat's murder with Avignone's defaced garage door and torched cars several weeks later to go back in time to speculate that Avignone somehow was involved in Angelo's murder.

I don't buy any of this about Avignone and Clary betraying Pat and about Avignone betraying Angelo.

Another possible reason floated for "RAT" being spray painted on Avignone's garage door is that he was somehow cooperating with police.

Clary definitely was loyal to par till the end, that guy is in his 70’s but tough and not scared of anything. Pino probably was loyal and like anti said, it could have all just been a setup to divert the blame, but again who knows, there were so many attempts on them that maybe they told Pino that if he didn’t give in he would be next.

Speaking of Pat Musitano anyone know the status of The Musitano Family? I remember reading that the family was practically on fumes before he was killed. Any Canada experts comment in on whether it’s true or not or share their opinions

This whole Canada thing was insane to me. I was following OC for a long time but took my a while to find out the whole Canada scene and the fact they had LCN families there

I've lived in Canada my entire life and had no clue there was an Italian mafia here until my mid 20's, blew my mind, too. The only OC I'd ever heard of or been exposed to was of the biker variety.

I’m not expert but based on what I hear talking to some people in Toronto, there are still people who are involved with them, mainly bookies, loan sharks ect. I also have heard that Dom jr the younger brother is doing things but it could be bullshit. He’s mostly a legit guy, but he’s involved with a union and who knows under the table what he does. Long story short, ya there are still “Musitano” people around from what I understand. By now it’s basically less of a family more so of a mafia cell like we saw in montreal a couple of years ago. Think along the lines of the Scoppa group, or mirarchi group

The musitanos were never a huge mafia “family”, really. To me their branch here in Ontario atleast was a quasi independent group who originated and kept loose ties to their ndrina back home but amalgamated with the local criminal scene. That’s why we see them being a crew for Buffalo at one point and then moved away from Buffalo due to infighting with the violis, papalias, then going under the umbrella of rizzuto. Of course after rizzuto died they just went back on their own. After their zio Tony died, there was nobody to protect the Musitano group from the outside, no rizzutos, Buffalo was against them, and their ndrangheta ties basically died off with their dad and zio.

Of the three, the only ones in Hamilton that are still there are the Violis. The Papalias and Musitanos are finished.

Couple articles related to the Hells in Hamilton and what seems to be a tie to the Muraca Family, which seems to be tied to the Racalamutese Community in Hamilton, which is Agrigento Region Sicilian? Seems people in that network are the Papalia Family that still exist?

It’s an interesting thread IMO because Angelo Musitano, Saverio Serrano were targeted by HA Hamilton via Mike Cudmore! Would it be safe to assume so was Tony Large and Pat Musitano?

This Hill also is connected to the Hammertown crew in Stoney Creek Jay ‘OneEye’ Myer? and the Cops 👮‍♀️ in Peel via a disgraced cop named Adrian Woolley, its seems this is normal in Canada 🍁.

https://www.insidehalton.com/news-story ... president/

It’s almost as if guys like this Hill are both cops 👮‍♀️ & biker support!

https://nationalpost.com/posted-toronto ... n-hamilton

https://www.thespec.com/news/crime/2012 ... rtion.html

The Hells Angels are James Sherwood and Joel Rollin.

“The power of the patch was used to carry out the threat so the assault became quite a serious matter,” he said, adding that extortion is always a serious matter.

The former bar owners, Linda Muraca, 54, and Dennis Dreher, 52, both of Hamilton were arrested on the same day in August 2011 as Sherwood and Rolling, and also charged with extortion.”

The Muraca Family also seems to be a partner of Josh Hill, whose is related via I don’t know, as well as these other people to the Papalia Family? But a tie between the Bikers and cops 👮‍♀️ via people like this Hill seems plausible, especially when there can be a mob tie via the Muraca, Ammendolia or other people that are part of the government in Hamilton related to the Fratellenza Racalmulto, like Sam Merulla, etc?

I don’t know if the other guy is a cop 👮‍♀️ or just one of their support ?
