It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

So who was there? Apart from Massino, who was present?

Vito Rizzuto's attendance and participation back then ended up setting up the great Montreal mob war over the past several years.

I took these notes from Massino’s testimony:

“Sal Vitale, Vito Rizzuto, “Vinny from Canada”, Frank Navarra, and FNU Bonventre were the shooters. Massino and George from Canada were also there, and George shot and killed Sonny Red.

James Tartaglione, Sal Vitale, Anthony Rabito, Lefty Ruggiero, and Bobby Caposio(?) helped move the bodies

John Ligamati, captain from New Jersey, Massino, George from Canada, Joe Bayonne, Nick DiStefano were all at the three captains meeting. Not all of them knew that the captains would be murdered. Nick DiStefano and Joe Bayonne were with Sonny Red’s faction. They were there to make the three captains feel like it was a regular captains meeting”

I can’t remember where I read it but from what I remember Sonny Black was there as well, and was worried that the zips would betray them so he stayed outside.

Great? thanks ! A lot of names

So it’s a lie that Curly Lino was there & he managed to escape and Rastelli/Massino decided to pardon him.

Lino was there. He escaped through a door that Napolitano left open

Boobie Cerasani helped move the bodies, not Bobby Capasio.

Ah ok, that makes more sense. I’m not sure if the sternogrpaher miswrote or if Massino misspoke, or if I wrote it down wrong.

The 3 Capo Murders is what got Vito sent to prison in the US. People believe if he wasn't in jail none of what happened in Montreal would of happened.

So it's not like the 3 capos murders led to the war but it was a domino that fell leading up to it.

It seems they were both involved.

Lefty Ruggiero told Pistone about some of the guys who were in on the hits and named Cerasani, Capasio, Jimmy Episcopia and Nick Santora. Ruggiero also said they holed up at Rabito's apartment. Santora told him how 50 pounds had flown off Trinchera when the shotgun hit him.

Massino identified Vitale, Tartaglione, Rabito, Ruggiero and Capasio in connection with moving the bodies. He also testified that Santora had lied about being there. Vitale also testified that Santora had lied about his involvement.

Tartaglione testified that about his involvement in cleaning up the club and moving the bodies and identified Rabito, Vitale, Napolitano and Cerasani as other participants on the clean up team.
