Bernie Goetz was a hero. He was just helping clean up that cesspool.

Of course. The dramatic rise in gun violence in NYC over the past year and a half and the marked and disturbing trend in bigoted harassment and attacks against Asians in NYC is just the racist stigmatization of a few mundane instances of “kids being kids”. Something something...Bernie Goetz. I’ve lived here for years, take the subway regularly, and can personally attest that since last year I have seen instances of disturbing and violent behavior, including gross harassment and physical confrontation of Asians by deranged bigots, at a frequency that I have never seen in the years that I’ve lived here. If you speak to New Yorkers, of any color or ethnic origin, you will hear many similar accounts.
I should’ve known better than to respond to your initial obnoxious and trollish post, as you are a bad faith interlocutor who wastes his time yelling into the wind arguing about racial politics on a freaking mafia forum. I hope that you enjoy the view from within your own colon, please don’t send any more post cards.

Oh so by "harassing and menacing" you just meant violent crimes. I mean here I was thinking harassment was a real problem on the subways and you could prove it...

Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

Lists "harassing" and "menacing" alongside provable crime statistics like he's got the numbers to back it up. Then eventually settles on "well physical attacks are harassing and menacing aren't they?"
The statistics even with the provable crimes are not alarming especially compared to the last few decades. Then you want to add the unprovable stats of harassment claims. Hilarious. "Just ask New Yorkers"

Looks like the topic is being derailed. Maybe you guys should take it to the Graveyard.

Dude the literal opening post is about how NY is "ghetto" now compared to the past. Gee who thought this would derail? Lol. It was never on the tracks

He’s arguing with himself at this point. He’s a bad faith actor and I have no interest in communicating with him any further.

A bad faith actor.. says the guy who tried to list "harassing" and "menacing" as legit, provable crimes.

I also like how Polack Tony says I only discuss race politics when I didn't mention race once and he did in like every post.

And every attack was by your favorite protected class except one.PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 8:11 pmIs your default assumption that Asians in NYC aren’t facing a spike in violent attacks and harassment in public spaces? Do you really think this is not happening, particularly given the recent scapegoating surrounding the COVID pandemic? Is this a position that you really want to defend?Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 7:53 pmHow about first you direct me to a link that shows substantiated stats regarding "harassing" and "menacing".PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 5:14 pmUhuh. Who exactly do you think bears the great brunt of the recent rise in violent crime and deterioration of public safety in NYC? It ain’t professional-managerial types who’ve largely been able to enjoy the luxury of working remotely during the pandemic and don’t live in NYCHA housing held hostage by gangbangers. Go laugh at some Chinese lady who has to walk around in fear of being targeted by some creep just for being Asian while commuting to her shitty job, or a parent stuck in the PJs because they can’t afford market rate housing on their wage and have to fear if their kid will make it home everyday.Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 4:46 pmHahahahaPolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 2:58 pm you could ask working-class immigrants about their experiences being harassed and menaced on the train

Re: Nyc last day mafia trip
Gun violence? Yes, black people are shooting each other more. And why? The same reason for the record shootings in Baltimore. The cops drive straight down the street and let it happen, as they will continue to do.PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 8:54 pm Of course. I've only been to the original Williamsburg location and the one on Amboy road but if you've been to one you've been to them all.PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 5:27 pm Not sure that my wife would appreciate that aspect of the Tiki bar scene lol...
I’ve only been to the Patricia’s locations in the Bx. I was actually at the one in Throggs Neck last night, and just realized that they had an SI location when I saw a pic on the wall lol.

This is the realest statement in this thread besides all the good restaurants I posted lol
Everytime I put on the news and another 78 year old bottle collecting chinese lady gets punched directly in the back of the head you can bet it’s a black guy who did it especially if the news makes absolutely no mention of the perpetrators race.
The one or two times it was a white guy they play up the white supremacy angle like it was a kkk lynching in the Deep South.
