Youre are Pittsburgh man ;) you should write a book "Who whacked Joey Naples - the fall of mob in Youngstown".
For sure would be a bestseller,I would buy it even in english.

Did anyone ever put together a list of murders that Strollo admitted involvement in? Like the Gravano list?
He admitted to Charlie Carabbia (he did the phone call that set him up) and ordering Biondillo, and ordering the shootings of the prosecutor Gains and that lawyer whose name I forget. The last three were in 1996 when Lenny went bonkers with paranoia and starting shooting everyone who displeased him or who he thought might get him (even a prosecutor!). I imagine he would have had even more people shot if he hadn't finally been busted. There might be other hits he admitted to, and I wouldn't be shocked if there were hits on dumb black drug kids that could be linked to him somehow. He probably got made in 1987 because of making his bones with the Carabbia thing.

I still can't believe they let him keep all his money after trying to off a prosecutor. I wonder if Gains and Strollo ever bump into each other when going about their business in the Valley. Imagine how awkward that would be. Anyway the article below is essential reading. "These fucking guineas all snitch on each other!"

I doubt if Lenny really gave a shit because it let him keep all of Youngstown to himself instead of having to split it with Naples. He had an insane amount of money when he finally went down and the feds let him keep it. He's had a good life, that Mr. Strollo.

One of the greatest quotes in mob history. But you gotta include the "These fucking guineas snitch on each other" part for the full impact.

That was Bernie's lawyer bitching in a diner, right? I always thought they should make an epic Netflix series about the Valley mob, and the very last scene of the series finale ends with that. Just the guy saying "two shines and a jew" and then fade to black... the end.

Stewart would meet Bernie at my place quite often. Stew had a thing for one of my waitresses and showed up quite often to sniff around ;)

https://ricerca.repubblica.it/repubblic ... chino.html

September18,1988 - Pasquale Rocco Libri, son of Domenico capobastone of Libri ndrine that controlled the Cannavò quartier of Reggio Calabria was killed in prison by sniper from a distance of over 150 meters. The sniper allegedly used a shotgun manufactured in Great Britain, the 7.62 caliber Parker Hale LTD which, having overlapping binoculars, can be used with little margin for error even from long distances.

Here is how the execution was reconstructed. Pasquale Rocco Libri, always cautious, rarely came out of his cell, but on Sunday morning he had to take part in a football match on the prison court with other inmates. The killer, who must have been aware of the fact, had set up early on the terrace on the fifth floor of a building still under construction about 150 meters from the prison courtyard.
As soon as he went outside, the young Libri did not even have time to look around: he fell to the ground. A single, sharp blow: Libri was hit in the face, next to the nostril, and the bullet, one of those that explode on impact with the target, escaped from the nape of the neck.

The Parker Hale LTD calibro 7,62

Again I don't think Lopresti was killed by a sniper.
