Interesting... Dick Mell involved. Not exactly a lightweight in the world of Chicago politics.

Former Governor, Rod Blagojevich's father in law. Rod is married to Patti... one of Mell's daughters.

Ah, the Chicago way...

I wanted to edit my post but didn't have the edit feature... on a side note, before retiring from city politics, Mell made sure his other daughter, Deb, got his seat on city council. The Chicago Way. Dick is now some hot shot lobbyist.

Thanks for the info Meatball didn't know that. Wasn't Rod's wife also related to someone in the outfit?

You're welcome. About Patti, I honestly don't know, Slick. However, I do remember way back in the day (mid 80's) there was talk of Rod shuttling envelopes between "people". It was rumored that gambling was involved. Rod & Patti were married in summer of 1990 if I remember correctly. Can't swear to it but you also can't help what you hear as well. ;)

Wow, interesting. Of course she's gonna deny any memory of him.

They say Pizza Al was consiglieri before he passed. Not surprised if true. He was one of the last of old schoolers.

Nice link, Slick. Grazie.

I don't believe that Frank was Al's brother. Al had two brothers that I know of, Roy and Sam.

Pretty sure that Roy was named after Roy Carlisi and in turn, Sam Carlisi was named after Sam Tornabene. I think lol. Carlisi and Tornabene were cousins for sure, though.
