I'm sure the government thinks its all a con but maybe George should be given credit for taking a chance on loans to ex-cons like Sharkey and Ambrosia....it's not his fault they went back to their criminal ways.

In addition, as was true of Ambrosio and as will be shown below, Sharkey’s association with members of the Philadelphia La Cosa Nostra (“LCN”) family demonstrate that his criminal activity is not the result of an isolated decision or aberrant conduct on a couple of occasions. Rather Sharkey closely associated with organized crime figures in Philadelphia over a long period of time, associated with made members of the Philadelphia LCN, including caporegime George Borgesi and, when the opportunity presented itself, Sharkey preyed upon innocent victims in order to pay $100,000 to George Borgesi.

Ambrosio and Sharkey convinced Ambrosio’s brother-in-law that in order to obtain financing, the brother-inlaw should wire transfer his $208,000 equity to a bank account controlled by Sharkey. Ambrosio sent his brother-in-law a text message on June 27, 2017, stating he was at that moment wiring “Leahan” $18,000 as part of the deal (Ambrosio owed the brotherin-law $18,000 and was to contribute those funds to the deal.) That same day, the brother-in-law wired $208,000 into Sharkey’s account, directed to Stephen “Leahan.” Later that day, Sharkey went to the bank and pulled out a total of $155,794. As explained below, approximately $100,000 of these funds went to ARMM Investments, controlled by George Borgesi.

Also notes that Borgesi and Anthony Ambrosio were surveilled by the feds in Boston on two different occasions in 2016.

He was acting boss from around 2014. When they went to the New York party in December 2014, Merlino introduced Lance to the Genovese guys as the acting boss of Philadelphia. Yes he conducted the making ceremony in 2015 but we dont if he's still acting boss today. Its been reported that Lance has been battling cancer again and Dave S said last year that from his observation, Borgesi appears to be the guy running things. Its possible he took a back seat in the last two years or so and Borgesi stepped up.

Borgesi appears to be deeply involved with the family, but seems to have some carte blanche to do as he pleases. He seems paranoid (rightly so) and is never at any of these making ceremonies we hear about, never seems to be pictured with the hierarchy of the family , or very rarely nowadays. He’s seen at the clubhouse occasionally but you don’t see him much with Grande, Johnny Chang, or Mazzone. It’s like he picks

Haha he must have just sat there and not said shit .. cause he wasn’t in any of the transcripts with Stevie doing all the talking.. kind of crazy... most of the photos I ever see of Borgesi is him either alone or with 1 other person doing a walk and talk around the block.. you never see him in pictures out with most of the guys...
for a while there after every weekend you could find pics of the mazzones, dom, Chang , posted on social media ..

Borgesi has been doing something right.. he’s been keeping a low profile.. but with how bad the feds want that group, If he’s involved in anything it’s only a matter of time..
