US mobsters escaped from prison?

The Italian oc members always tried and in much cases menaged to escape but in the USA I never heard of a mobster that was able enought to escape from prison. Any infos?

The Mafia is supposed to be a secret society, they wouldn’t escape prison because of the heat that’ll bring with it.

I know a few have had some plans to, Gaspipe had a few master schemes including leaving on horseback or some shit and I forget his name someone recently lost weight and planned it but got ratted out

If I remember right one of Casso's plans was having his guys get a helicopter and fly it into the prison yard to fly him out.

Casso got caught bribing guards to get some tools etc to escape as well
