The Gambinos (Carlo) traces their origins back to Passo di Rigano I think.
Cali and D'Aquila families came from Palermo Centro. Do we know what Palermo Families Cali was in contact/connected to/in partnership with?
Pietro Inzerillo of 1900 and I believe Pete Inzerillo today have their origins in Resutanna.
What other links are there?

Re: Modern Links between Gambinos and Palermo Families
Today's Pete Inzerillo and all of the well-known Inzerillos in NYC/NJ and Sicily are from Passo di Rigano. The recent arrest of Gambino and Sicilian mafia members included an Inzerillo who has become the boss of Passo di Rigano.
I suspect the Castellanos are from Passo di Rigano. The main street (where all of the Inzerillos live) is via Castellana (the original spelling used by the Castellanos, which some kept) and there was a mafia member identified in the Sangiorgi report who lived near there named Onofrio Castellana. Carlo Gambino's nephew Leo Giammona was also from Passo di Rigano and married Gambino capodecina Frank Castellana's daughter when he came to NYC. Giammona appears to be a descendent of the powerful early bosses of Passo di Rigano and Uditore who share his surname.
The Sicilian Gambino brothers are from Torretta and Rosario Gambino is a man of honor in that family. They are intermarried with prominent members from Passo di Rigano.
Acting boss of Pagliarelli, Gianni Nicchi, and the acting boss of Villabate, Nicolo Mandala, met with Frank Cali in NYC. Nicchi was representing Pagliarelli boss Nino Rotolo.
Filippo Casamento is believed to have transferred to the Gambino family at one point in the 1970s/80s but is a man of honor and once identified as the underboss of Boccadifalco, next to Passo di Rigano. He took Giovanni Inzerillo to Canada where they met with Sicilian mafia representatives.

The Inzerillos were from Passo di Rigano? Not Resuttana?
Re: Modern Links between Gambinos and Palermo Families
The early NYC member Pietro Inzerillo is not from Passo di Rigano, but all of the infamous Inzerillos connected to the modern day Gambino family are from Passo di Rigano. Aside from when they had to flee after losing the war, they have been the backbone of the Passo di Rigano mafia. This is true again today since they returned to Sicily.

I'm thinking of creating another Palermo chart with American names showing their origins. I got the the early stuff, but the modern I'd need help with. Might even be worth listing Gambino, Castellano etc in Passo di Rigano. There's Zaccaria, Cali, modern Gambinos, I think Mannino but I'd have to confirm.
Re: Modern Links between Gambinos and Palermo Families
Has anyone definitively confirmed which town / district Carlo Gambino came from?
This Italian article says he was from Passo di Rigano but not sure the original source: https://ricerca.repubblica.it/repubblic ... s-del.html
The Castellanas look to be from Passo di Rigano and their ties to Gambino go back to Sicily, but we see interrelation and close association between Passo di Rigano and nearby places like Torretta, Boccadifalco, and Uditore, so can't be positive they were from the same exact spot.
Rosario Gambino's cousin from Torretta testified that Carlo Gambino came from their hometown, but it wasn't clarified if he specifically meant Torretta or was just referring to Palermo.
Carlo's sister's marriage to a Giammona from Passo di Rigano is another good indication he was from there.
