I have to wonder how active Licata is ? Is 80yrs old and wealthy. I was under the impression that Olivieri and Licata disliked each other no ?? I have heard Olivieri is not active..then he was seen in Philly at a Xmas party...? Fazzini has always been Licata's right hand man.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 9:49 amSeems like it's been a very small crew for a while now. Possibly Vito Malgeri too if they followed through and decided to put him up for one of the ceremonies that took place over the past 10 years.
It also seems pretty nuts that we haven't found evidence to suggest that anyone was inducted into the crew from 1990 to circa 2007 when Fazzini got made. Almost as long as the books were closed for in New York after Apalachin. Though we also know that Pete Caprio at least wanted to make Daniel D'Ambrosia and Raymond LePore during that time. And he turned Natale down when he asked if he wanted to put Phil Casale up.
It's a pretty sudden drop off, especially considering they made so many people from 1981 to 1990 that they split the crew into two.

Nicky O is living down here at the shore these days last I heard and working at a pool store in Brick lol. He’s actually on Facebook now too believe it or not. I’ve heard Scoops is Official Capo of that crew but that Fazzini runs the day to day of that crew with Scoops having final say and taking a hands off approach from day to day operations of that crew, who knows!

Servidio is and has always been under Scoops and is a North Jersey Crew guy.chin_gigante wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 9:59 am Servidio was still under North Jersey. His 2018 indictment mentions how he had to get permission from his captain (Licata) to work with Persiano because he was from Grande's crew
Persiano was under Dom G in his crew along with Dom’s Uncle Sammy Piccolo (safe to say Dom G inherited the guys from Nicky Scarfo Jr’s crew that were brought back under the Philly Family sometime after Nicky Jr went away). Persiano was mainly operating out of a restaurant outside of AC in Northfield called Valentina’s.
After Servidio got out of prison for his previous Cocaine bust in 2007 Nutley he relocated down to South Jersey not too far from AC Area but has always been under Scoops Licata.
Read the indictment it was guy’s from two different crews in the family working together in AC area on drug deals. The rest of the guys Persiano got jammed up also this past November were from the Mazzone Wing of the family.

not having a good few days. first funzi sisca has a crew in queens. now servidio reports to grande. you must have had too many pizza and wings up in buffalo recently. i kid my old buddy
Salude!
Re: Sebastiano "Beeps" Centorino
It happens. Both were confusion on my part. The latter from the indictment reading Grande giving approval to a soldier in his crew to work with Servidio in dealing drugs.
In any event, with four living members that crew seems to be on the way out.

Get the pork chop Giambotta . It’s off the menu , enormous enormous and just awesome. If you get the shrimp beeps , get it with the spaghetti App , for some reason you get a lot more.newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 8:50 amI haven't been able to muster up the energy to drive out there, potentially have to deal with waiting for a table, all of that shit...but now with COVID they're taking reservations so I think it's on the horizon for me. Licata even commented on the Stefanelli tape about not wanting to make anyone and was making an exception for Malgeri. He seemed adamant about it.chin_gigante wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 3:24 pm This has got me thinking about the North Jersey crew more in general. I think another key contributing factor to this is the constantly rotating leadership from 1990 on. Licata and Sodano go to Stanfa to get Napoli taken down in late 1991, Sodano is away from 1992-1994, Licata is away from 1994-1997, Sodano has his problems with the administration in Philadelphia and gets killed in 1996, Licata goes away again from 1999 to I think 2003, Caprio flips in 2000, Centorino is briefly acting but is under indictment the whole time. There wasn't really an extended period of stable leadership until Licata came home in the 2000s. Caprio had a decent run (relatively) from early 1997 until his arrest, but that still cut things short before he could put his plans to induct new members and take over the family into action.B. wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 3:19 pmLicata even commented on the Stefanelli tape about not wanting to make anyone and was making an exception for Malgeri. On a slightly unrelated note now that I'm on the subject of Licata and inductions, I've been thinking more and more about his comments to Stefanelli about ceremonies under Ligambi. Specifically when he mentioned that as of 2010 there had only been two recent ceremonies: the first five (after the Casasanto murder) and then Esposito and Fazzini. More and more I'm thinking that could be in reference to since he (Licata) got out in 2003, rather than in the then-totality of Ligambi's tenure as acting boss. I've expressed my thoughts on this before but there's the (recanted) statement from Roger Vella that he was inducted by Ligambi in AC in 2000. So either Vella made the whole thing up or he actually knew of a ceremony where guys were made and just fabricated his participation in it. Then there's the fact that we don't have an identification of Joe Curro as a member until late-2001, though we do have descriptions of him as an associate (including earlier in 2001 when Kitty Caparella reported on a memo sent from the FBI to local law enforcement about how Lancellotti, Curro and Virgilio were planning to kill Natale's kids).
One of these days I wouldn't mind getting ahold of transcripts of Natale's testimony or his 302s (it's a shame LCN Bios only had notes on part of the 302s before going on indefinite hiatus). Could clear a lot up about any ceremonies that took place from 1994 to 1998. Sometimes I forget how spoiled we are with information from the 1980s when we can accurately lay out every single ceremony that took place that decade.

In Brick ha ? Nicky O's son looks like a shorter version of him. The son lives in Florah Park and is partners in a few places on the Asbury Boardwalk. Stella Marino and I believe the Cuban place and one more. He might have other places as well.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 11:41 am Nicky O is living down here at the shore these days last I heard and working at a pool store in Brick lol. Nicky Sr moved into a 55 and older in Jackson about 4-5yrs ago. I just don't think the guy is active....if you read Freslone's book Licata didn't like Nicky and put up a stink about him getting made etc. So is he gonna work with a guy who doesn't like him and tried sabotaging him? Also there was all that talk that the ceremony wasn't legit that Patty did with him etc. But who Knows?? Half of the Decav's live in 55 and older communities in Toms River ! lol But it seems quite a few guys have left that crew since that 1998 . allot of those Bloomfield guys just aren't involved anymore like Jimmy Polidoro.. You just don't see the name pop up anymore like Nicky O's hasn't etc.

After watching a toothless Natale do those mob docs... I wouldn't believe a word the guy says. He lied so much in those mob docs.
Re: Sebastiano "Beeps" Centorino
Don’t forget Joey Grande is up there in that crew now too. I also heard Tony Gag’s son is in the Trenton/Mercer County and shore areas operating a small crew, which my guess is reports to Licata. Might report to Lucibello/Bucks County or whoever has South Jersey now but my guess is he reports up north.

I’ve heard they’re gonna give Damian Canalichio that South Jersey Capo spot once he’s off papers. Staino I don’t think is back in the fold at all , he didn’t do his time very well at all and he was an Uncle Joe guy. Makes sense they would have someone replace Tony Gags in the Trenton Area and who better than his son?

You know which area of the Shore Tony Gag’s crew is operating out of? It’s a good 40 minute drive from the Shore to Trenton/Mercer County Area but I do it a lot whenever I’m craving a Mustard Tomato Pie which is something that you can only get in the Trenton Area.PHL_Mob wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 11:26 am Don’t forget Joey Grande is up there in that crew now too. I know it sounds gross but it’s actually absolutely amazing , I always get a 1/2 Spicy Mustard and 1/2 Regular Mustard Tomato Pie- BANGIN’! Damn gonna make that 40 minute ride again soon! Hahaha
