A relative of Vincent Centorino? I thought it might be him but the first name is different and the ages don't quite match.

Re: Sebastiano "Beeps" Centorino
The DOB I have for Centorino (from the Pennsylvania Crime Commission) is 25 July 1930. The BOP also has his current age as 90 so it would seem odd if they were both wrong. Can't see why they'd use a different age and first name in the obituary.
Looking at a photo comparison:
This is the photograph we have on the forum that's been said to be of Vincent Centorino
Here's a photograph of this Sebastiano Centorino from his obituary
Pretty sure that's the same guy. Though it's also important to note that I think it was NJShore4Life who found the first photograph and added a disclaimer that he was only "85%" sure it was him. So either this is Centorino and he's dead or the first photograph isn't actually of Centorino, or only one of these photographs is of Centorino and the other one just really looks like him? Maybe a thing where relatives get the same nickname. Like Joe Crutch and Marty Crutch Curro. The obituary says he was the youngest of four siblings and lists the other three by name as pre-deceased. So Sebastiano and Vincent (if they are actually separate people) aren't brothers. Vincent is also from Lebanon Township I believe, so I'm leaning on the side that it's him. Not sure what to make of the discrepancy over the age or the first name.

I was under the impression there was only one Beeps and this was him, I could be wrong. This Beeps DOB is Nov 28, 1931
Chin could be right about the family nickname thing that happens a lot and easily causes confusion but I feel like I would have heard about the other Beeps at some point. Maybe one of the jersey guys can clear this up.

To add some more confusion an article from April 3, 2001 lists his age as 60.

Re: Sebastiano "Beeps" Centorino
I still stand by the fact that I’m only about 85% sure that is a recent pic of Beeps Centorino of the Philly Newark Crew at the Belmont Tavern eating Shrimp Beeps dish there named after him.
I haven’t lived up on the Avenue in the Newark Area of North Jersey in several years now and now live down at the Jersey Shore on the beach. I haven’t eaten in the Belmont Tavern on the Avenue in years. It’s been 7 years now for me since I was in that North Jersey scene. I’m all Jersey Shore now!!
I wish I could be of more help, this is the best I can do sorry.
Rocco on here may know?

Was this the guy Ligabmi was complaining about, selling cakes out the back of his car?
Shrimp Beeps huh? You think the Belmont is worth taking a trip from the city? I think because of COVID restrictions they are actually taking reservations now

I go there from Brooklyn all the time but I usually get the chicken savoy, it's def worth the trip. Not many places like that still around.newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 8:42 am

I haven't been able to muster up the energy to drive out there, potentially have to deal with waiting for a table, all of that shit...but now with COVID they're taking reservations so I think it's on the horizon for me. Instead of actually going out there though, what I was able to do is describe what the Savoy is supposed to be (and also found a janky recipe online) and have my wife re-create it for me still haven't had the 'real' thing thojohnny_scootch wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 8:43 am From the obit

Yeah this is the guy in Scoops Crew that Ligambi said was selling cakes out of the trunk of his car on the wiretaps. He’s a long time Philly North Jersey Crew member.newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 8:42 am Was this the guy Ligabmi was complaining about, selling cakes out the back of his car?

The food is incredible at Belmont Tavern I would recommend the Shrimp Beeps and the Chicken Savoy which is a unique Italian-American chicken dish you really only find in Newark Italian’s restaurants.
I would also recommend waiting until this COVID bullshit dies down to make the trip from the city though to Belmont Tavern. I feel like the atmosphere wouldn’t be the same with all this bullshit and the atmosphere was half the fun of going there. The bartender Jimmy was always a riot and the tables you sat at to eat (You weren’t allowed to eat at the bar and they don’t serve any Budweiser products, place was very quirky) were so close to each other I would always end up making friends with the characters from the neighborhood sitting at the tables close next to me eating.
I can’t see that place being the same these days with all this COVID bullshit.

Looking back at Blood Oath, Fresolone has Centorino as in his "late fifties" at the time of the 1990 induction ceremony. So what would also line up with the PCC and BOP ages.

This guy can't be Vincent's father. Vincent is older than he is.
