Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
The memory for details is astounding. Im always assuming Sammys stories are based on a true story. It would be incredibly difficult to remember every detail going back so many years.
Sammy can consult for a netflix type series based on his life/stories. Joe Massino would have similar opportunities. I can’t imagine he is in the best health.

Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
That story isn't as unbelievable as it seems only because of who he was dealing with from the AB. The California AB considered that Schneider guy a rat after he had talked to the press about a case he was involved with. The case brought a lot of negative attention plus he gave sound bytes to journalists - two things that made him "no good" - so by the time he hit the Federal system and he was with Sammy, he was persona non grata. He probably was able to get away with flying the AB flag there, because there weren't many other ABs at the facility, and/or they were just doing their own thing and not doing it as a part of the bigger overall organization (which in the Federal system has greatly diminished)Pmac2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 5:10 am is he tring to bullshit like he was excepted by the AB in prison after he fliped. he going on about joe watts wearing a wire which is bullshit he wouldnt have been let back into the fold after his first bid and sammy doesnt mention 1 guy by name who joe watts tapped just slinging mudd. hisdaughters probaly fighting on instagram

Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
I totally agree. Salvatore Gravano is full of shit. Gotti never payed money to the Brand for protection, his family has even confirmed that's false. John Gotti was never extorted. He was jumped by a mentally unstable young guy and that's it. Gotti was an 55 year old man by then (1996) so of course the younger Johnson had the upper hand. There are a couple of versions of the story out there. Probably Gotti was running his mouth and got what was coming to him. He was jumped by 28 year old Walter Johnson. But he was never extorted by the Aryan Brotherhood. Gotti was arrogant and narcissistic that personality type had difficulty getting along with others. You have to humble yourself in prison to a certain degree and respect the other prisoners. Some prisoners don't give a crap who you were on the outside. And who cares if he got beaten up anyway? He was still a stand up guy, gave no names, dusted himself off and moved on. Gotti was 55 in the summer of 1996. Gotti was old and sick by this point. People make a big deal about a young guy beating the crap out of a 55 year old man. In his younger years, Gotti was a well known tough guy who was really good with his hands. And no doubt if Gotti knew it was coming the results may have been different even at that stage in Gotti’s life.Pmac2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 5:10 am is he tring to bullshit like he was excepted by the AB in prison after he fliped. he going on about joe watts wearing a wire which is bullshit he wouldnt have been let back into the fold after his first bid and sammy doesnt mention 1 guy by name who joe watts tapped just slinging mudd. hisdaughters probaly fighting on instagram
In this interview
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guqiFDl1gb4
on street gangs this blood gang member who did time with John Gotti talks about the situation. Gotti didn't get beat to a pulp. Around the 4min mark. He makes it seem like Gotti had no real issues. This guy says that Gotti was cool. And he never saw any racism. He was treated like a superstar by fellow inmates He just had a problem with that 1 guy, and that 1 guy Walter Johnson was a fucking nutjob. It was just a random one off, and even in Marion Gotti had the power to not get touched like that. One reason it's hard to believe he was assaulted again or extorted on a regular basis is because it would have made the news. Just like the 1st one. The feds got a kick out of humiliating him.
Salvatore Gravano is bragging, but when you're a snitch who had to testify in multiple high profile cases, you can't brag about not needing protection. Gravano was being protected by the government. Every prison has a place for snitches. Gravano was in those places. He wasn't in general population. Even in Colorado Supermax he was on 23hr lockdown, their whole system is the protection. The guys doing time in Colorado Supermax don't have physical contact with inmates or anyone else.

Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
Can anyone else find the video Gravano uploaded around the time of the election where he kinda half heartedly announced he wanted to run for governor of AZ? The one that started with Hail to the Chief playing while he stood at a podium? Think he has deleted it. That was a strange one.

Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
There’s an old documentary from ABC, like a 20-20 episode or something of Sammy from when he moved to Arizona and started dealing. It’s basically disappeared from the internet. They had the wire taps of him calling his wife and son and talking about exctasy deals. I remember his wife had been ripping some guy off that they were selling to, and Sammy was looking over the books and realized what she had been doing and immediately hopped on the phone and called her and in code basically said “wtf”. They interviewed a neighbor that Sammy had done some construction work with—who realized after 10 min of working with Sammy that he was basically trained to do the bare minimum and rip ppl off. Sammy ended up almost killing the guy. They talked about Sammy wanting to form the Arizona mafia and have non Italian white guys and black guys be members. I saw it once like 10 years ago but it’s fucking vanished from the internet.

I have seen this as well, recently. It’s on YouTube in a complitation series On Sammy. I’ll see if I can track it down. Was pretty good.

I remember that one but there was another one that was even rarer.I remember the swat team that raided his house was interviewed and they also got more in depth about the young guys who were moving the pills.I remember also in that rare one some fed was interviewed and said the young guys just wanted to party and make money but sammy made them more disciplined and schooled them on how to murder people but that had the opposite effect the guys got scared and realized how serious this was then when they got caught alot of them flipped because they thought sammy was going to kill themAmershire_Ed wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 6:04 pm There’s an old documentary from ABC, like a 20-20 episode or something of Sammy from when he moved to Arizona and started dealing. Interesting in the recent episode about his induction ceremony, Gravano says during the induction Castellano told him there were families in other states and "other countries." Seems he was acknowledging the Sicilian mafia.
Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
In his lead-up to the John Simone murder he had plenty of opportunity to connect Simone to the Bruno murder, but like in his book he is sticking to the story that Simone was killed for going to "war" with the Commission-sanctioned boss Phil Testa. He says he received the order direct from Paul Castellano.
He mentioned Russo and Farinella being part of the "Jersey faction" of the Aurello crew... hopefully at some point he shares what he knows about their history, if he knows anything. They were previously under Pete Ferrara and helped kill Alfred Santantonio so they were with the same crew before Aurello took over. You'd expect them to have had a conversation at some point about how Trenton guys get made into a Brooklyn crew but that kind of thing is stranger to us as outsiders than it is to them.

Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
Regarding Joe Farinella he were related to the Falcone's of Utica and his brother Sam Jr had been seen driving Angelo Bruno around, and Sam Jr were at one time convicted along with Willie Dara of the Bonanno family. Also Joe's father Sam Sr and uncle Anthony had been arrested for murder so they might have been involved too.B. wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 10:56 pm He mentioned Russo and Farinella being part of the "Jersey faction" of the Aurello crew... hopefully at some point he shares what he knows about their history, if he knows anything. Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
Salvatore Gravano never goes on about the rest of the people he sent to prison for the rest of their lives. He always tries to justify being a rat. He is full of shit. Every locked-up mobster facing life is mad at his boss on some level. And the oath of Omerta was not taken with there being exceptions, like you have to be quiet UNLESS you get pissed off at your boss and can make a case for why it's his fault. John Gotti running his mouth and there being a bug in the room is not on the same planet as talking to the feds directly. Not even close. At the end of the day Gravano did it to save his own skin. He always makes it sound like the only person be put in prison was Gotti what about all the other guys he ratted on? Was there a reason for that to? In my country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Macedonia the worse thing you could be is a rat. Rats make me sick.
Re: Sammy gravano making a fool of himself
Great info, Eld. The connections between the Falcones and the Gambino family never seem to end. Had no idea Farinella had so many connections, though I remember reading he was Sicilian.Eld wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 11:22 amRegarding Joe Farinella he were related to the Falcone's of Utica and his brother Sam Jr had been seen driving Angelo Bruno around, and Sam Jr were at one time convicted along with Willie Dara of the Bonanno family.
