And also... what exactly are you talking about when his book was discussed about the Family Secrets case? There was another Family Secrets book that wernt way in depth and i can possibly see that one being mentioned but i dont see what his book really having any significance to actually being talked about...
I have to correct what I wrote, but I think it was the book "Family Affair" with Sam Giancana's name as the author and Scott's name underneath, but which Scott actually wrote without help, that was mentioned in some case. It was in the transcripts where two Outfit guys were discussing his book while in a car that was bugged. Can't recall which guys or the case, but maybe someone else here can.

It was the Scalise, Pullia, and Rachel trial.

Here is the newest article. I don't know but it looks like the G isn't that interested in finding Zizzo's murderer, they are only offering $10,000 for information that leads to a conviction.

Interesting that he calls the Northside crew "now defunct."

They're still around, aren't they? I thought they were one of the handful of crews still going.

They were one of the 4 crews mentioned by the feds back in 2007, along with Grand Avenue, Melrose Park, and 26th Street.

After about 1992 or so, EP and North Side were interchangeable, the traditional Rush Street crew hasn't operated in quite a while. At one point, Grand Avenue was even folded in with the North Side before they reversed stance and said that they were still an independent crew. EP and Grand Avenue share the actual North Side

The crew the Feds called the Northside crew was the Elmwood Park crew. Because they thought the Builder was with the Northside Crew when he was actually Elmwood Park. Scott is talking about the old Vince Solano Northside Crew which was sucked into other crews.
Rudy (the Chin) Fratto is the reputed capo of Elmwood Park these days. Dote is personally in charge of D’Amico’s rackets, per law enforcement sources and Chicago Crime Commission files. James (Jimmy I) Inendino, a DeLaurentis and Cataudella confidant, is alleged to be the capo Cicero and a “de-facto underboss,” and Albert (Albie the Falcon) Vena is alleged to have succeeded Lombardo as lord of the Outfit’s westside mob operations stationed at the corner of Grand and Ogden Avenues.

This was a quote from this Burnstein article where it is obvious his sources think Rudy Fratto is running the EPC not the Northside crew.

That would make sense.

Some interesting info in there wouldn't be a surprise of grand ave was involved in the zizzo thing as grand is known to be one of the more dangerous crews. Wouldn't be surprised if EP doesn't even have a hitter in their crew I'm sure Cicero still does though
