I accidentally bought a huge jar of mild instead of hot, so at least i have a little back supply lol. I like going there cause its in the middle of the neighborhood so it was a nice walk in the summer, going to bari for my italian deli needs isn't going to be as nice since have to walk down busy ass Grand.

That's too bad I also visited there often in the summer for 25 cent ice cream cones. Mike Fiore was related to Phil Fiore a nephew or something along those lines. I believe one of the sons was a CNote.

That is very interesting great read on Maxie Eisen below. I believe he was at the Maxwell Street markets.Villain wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 4:36 am Btw, I just saw some info that during the late 1920s one Frank Caruso worked as young enforcer for old time Jewish crime boss Maxie Eisen in the fish market and some unions.
Skids Caruso was born in 1911 and so his age at the time wouldve been 18 or 19 years old, although im still trying to find evidences if it was the same guy.....

Interesting to note that the Calabrese Bros lived on Erie and Hoyne as kids. I understand that they had a couple of nephews or cousins that were C-Notes as well, one called Crusher IIRC.funkster wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 8:34 pmPhil Fiore of Calabrese crew fame?SolarSolano wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 7:02 pm That's too bad I also visited there often in the summer for 25 cent ice cream cones. He was called Pete Fiore but I believe Phil was his real name and lived in Grand Ave. I want to say Mike Fiore who owned the delicatessen was his nephew. PEte was with the Cicero crew and I believe was indicted with Calabrese.funkster wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 8:34 pmPhil Fiore of Calabrese crew fame?SolarSolano wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 7:02 pm That's too bad I also visited there often in the summer for 25 cent ice cream cones. I believe you’re correct. Came up in some of the FS and John Floods work. Btw, has flood released anything outfit related as of late? Seems to have been awhile.
On another note, Sarno still trying to get out it appears:

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Tribune had an article on Sarmo today that I'm too lazy to find and link to on my phone. He is apparently in deteriorating health and down to 200 lbs, which must be a sight to see. A judge denied his compassionate release, claiming that if granted, he would resort back to his old ways in order to pay for medical expenses (gimme a break). Anyway, he got his second covid shot so he can't use that as an excuse anymore. Sounds like he is gonna die in the can.
I think there was a recent photo of him from a year or two agao where it looked like *had* lost a substantial amount of weight
Edit: just noticed that Funkster linked to a tweet saying the same thing.
