story about bts..they werent as tough as people thought.. turns out. yes they robbed and extorted usually like 30 deep in a rave...anyway i and about 6-7 friends from my neighborhood went to a rave around 1999 on ralph ave. my boy put 20$ on the bar and like 5 kids surrounded him and took it... so he comes to us...ok, we all go up and circle these kids and they see it coming, so they split up.. anyway we say fuck it lets bounce, this aint our area and who knows.. as we leave like 10 more kids and the 5 or 6 that robbed my boy are outside. a few bats a golf club, so fuck it lets do it was our dumb ass mindset at the time. anyway 6 of us put a few guys down begore cops came and everyone took of. told they were bts, mot 100% but whoever they were had a bad night that night, later i met a guy eddie or es. bts. we became cool but he wasnt one there that night. to be young anddumb againnewera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:32 pm I was in my teens / going out years at their tail end in the late 90s but were the BTS "brooklyn terror squad" ever connected to LCN? Group of sick, grimey kids who sold drugs and robbed party goers at the clubs and raves. I know that some of the old promoters, etc. were from Bensonhurst and it's really not too small of a world. I wonder if any of those BTS kids 'graduated' into more organized crime. Good topic, there were tons of young crews.

They were def scumbags who robbed anything not nailed down but I respected that they did what I thought were big heists back then. 10 of them would rob 40 people at a party and they might do that twice a night on the weekend.
Re: Wonder what happened to all those guys and crews from the 90's
Wowwww, Thats a name I haven't heard of in a long time Canarsie terror squad , These crews back then were a dime a dozen what a great time , Everyone hung out in the parks and different blocks etc etc.. Its amazing how many people were out there running around back then , Today we have zero, Non existent ! It feels like literally only a few years ago this was all going on meanwhile its been 2 decades or close to 3 . And there was money to be made everywhere , Chop shops a dime a dozen , Drugs, Robberies, Extortions .....Today its all completely gone, Along with all these crews etc...I love how they talk about profiling today , Back then Cops were up our asses 24/7 would pull you over and harass you like mad Men lock you up to bust balls over any little BS ! BTS thought they were God's like the 2nd coming of John Gotti, I seen them fuck with the wrong people a few times and get they're heads handed to them , Alot of the original hard-core members so called leaders or whatever got hooked on drugs or fucked with the wrong people and get killed , ended up dead or homelessjohnny_scootch wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:38 amBorn To Steal was how I knew the BTS kids but we’re def talking the same crew. They robbed kids at raves after fleecing whatever drug dealers they could find at the raves. They had huge balls but were grimey as it gets. I can’t say any of them that I knew (which was not very well) even came close to getting straightened out.newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:32 pm I was in my teens / going out years at their tail end in the late 90s but were the BTS "brooklyn terror squad" ever connected to LCN? Louie and Vinny Iacono plus a bunch of other Italian/Irish kids and even a couple black kids were CTS canarsie terror squad.

I'm pretty sure Belfort was on record with and backed by the Colombos ,I think it was mentioned in his indictment how the Colombos and maybe another family not sure which one was behind Belfortnewera_212 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 10:42 amAre you talking about Born to Steal the book? The Wall Street kids? If so, I definitely agree - that was a really interesting story and frankly, much better than the shit that Belfort conjured up. Matter of fact I wonder who Belfort was paying off because it was common knowledge that at ever single chop house and bucket shop in and around the tri-state area there were connected guys behind the scenes with their hands in everyone's pockets, and in some cases, on the floor on the phones themselves. That kid from Born to Steal was like the Forrest Gump of penny stocks and worked for just about every chop house in NY, and was able to stay at every single chop house which family was in charge. So every place he worked at had wiseguys (sometimes 'just' associates) at the helm, but Belfort's Stratton Oakmont or whatever it was called was able to operate independently with no problems?
The other BTS I mentioned , Born to Steal or Brooklyn Terror Squad was basically a little street gang from all over Brooklyn (mostly southern Brooklyn where all of the other usual suspects we talk about on here are from) who just ran amok robbing drug dealers, party promoters, party goers, etc. - heavily "involved" with the club and rave scene in the late 90s and first couple years of the 2000s. Only reason I asked if any of those guys ever ended up stepping up higher into LCN was just because of how interconnected the rave scene and the fringes of LCN were in the 90s. Some of the big DJs and party promoters were from Bensonhurst / Gravesend and were known for getting extorted or paying tax to neighborhood crews, then you had Jimmy Colandra's brother involved with Limelight, the bottom rung kids in Wild Bill's crew running amok shaking down raves and clubs and selling Ecstacy, then Paciello, etc. - it was all one small world. It was a little before my time and I caught the tail end of it, but through these crazy young crews - the chop house scene, the rave scene, the drug scene, and the outer outer fringes of LCN were all kind of connected. There were so many "youth crews" - can't call them legit farm teams, I think that statement is way overblown - that it was insane. I have to think while the entire world has calmed down today big time, and NYC has changed, there's still gotta be a good amount of kids doing similar shit today. Outside of Staten Island, I think think Howard Beach / OZP and Middle Village are two areas where you're gonna find kids like that today

And the Rave underground parties were GIGANTIC money makers ,These parties Made alot of pple very rich . You had raves and outlaw parties going on all week long like clockwork for years in the Tristate area , Forget it , Small time guys could go into a party with a few bucks in they're pocket and literally walk out 5 hours later with 40 or 50 grand, The big parties easily had some 10 thousand people or more in attendance and every last person was purchasing drugs of every kind party products like glow sticks and necklaces etc etc, RIDICULOUS!! Go to Vitamin shoppe or wherever, Purchase like 5,000-10,000 multicolored design vitamins or whatever pills/fakes that resembled ecstasy tablets and sell them for 15 ,25,50 bucks a pop and the rest was history you'd sell out sometimes in like an hour Pockets loaded

You guys are all making me beyond jealous how I just missed the huge rave scene here in Jersey and the rest of the tri-state area of the late 1990s/early 2000s.
I remember the older guys telling my friends and I stories, crazy stories. I’m 36 so I literally just missed it as I was only 15 years old in 2000. I was a good kid and a three sport athlete back then so I don’t know if I would have touched Ecstasy back then, a lot of my friends were doing it though....
I didn’t turn into a shitbag until my early 20s a few years after I stopped playing organized sports for my school.
I remember going to “Teen Nights” at Joey Harrison’s Surf Club in Ortley Beach trying to be like the older guys from my neighborhood with the raves, good times!
Ohhhhh to be young again growing up in Jersey.....

I don't know shit about growing up in Jersey but at that time period Manhattan was my playground. Roxy, palladium, limelight, the tunnel, club shelter, club usa, carbon, mirage, wetlands, webster hall, roseland ballroom and on and on and on. We'd show up to Limelight at 2am get on the line drop a mitsubishi and by the time we walked thru the door we'd be tripping balls. We'd go nuts until about 8-9am then head home and crash for 12 hours wake up and do it again.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 11:49 am You guys are all making me beyond jealous how I just missed the huge rave scene here in Jersey and the rest of the tri-state area of the late 1990s/early 2000s.

Broooo.. I gotta ask you something here.....
In the Cicale files, he said Basciano got a load from Montreal, weed and ecstacy pills. He said Basciano and his crew had no idea how to move pills. I thought this unfathomable, that a dealer of Bascianos stature, couldn't move x in NY, capitol of nightlife, in the late 90s- early 2000s, when like, JaRule was huge in NY in the clubs, and all the broads wanted x.
Is that plausible to you, that such a huge dealer couldnt figure out how to sell ecstacy pills to ravers?
Re: Wonder what happened to all those guys and crews from the 90's
Nah, That's a head scratcher, Back then everybody and they're mother was doing ecstasy. IT was the easiest thing in the world to move, It basically sold itself !! Basically all someone had to do was go out to one of the many clubs at the time and have it available on hand, No matter who you were the stuff would be gone immediately as much as you had, The more you had the better , The demand was sky high thru the roof ! I don't get that at allCabriniGreen wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 1:40 amBklyn21 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:55 am And the Rave underground parties were GIGANTIC money makers ,These parties Made alot of pple very rich . From the Cicale files......
Cicale estimated that Vinny and Bruno owed more than $180,000 for marijuana, and around $375,000 for the 250,000 ecstasy pills. “The gym bag was still stuffed with ecstasy pills because apparently it was not a drug in demand among Vinny and Bruno’s dealers at the time.” Cicale said. “Vinny and Bruno didn’t have a clue as to how to get rid of the pills.”

Or is it an indication that Vinny controlled primarily dealers on the streets? But how hard was it to set up in the many NY clubs? Fuckin parking lot, whatever .... Holy fuck in never expected to see BTS on here. When I was younger and dumber I would travel around the country selling shit at music shows and festivals. Never had a problem myself with them but BTS was super known within my scene for rolling drug dealers at after parties and bars anywhere in the tristate area. Even saw them in springfield mass. They were super prolific in the late 90s early 2000s.newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:32 pm I was in my teens / going out years at their tail end in the late 90s but were the BTS "brooklyn terror squad" ever connected to LCN? I didn't torture the kid, didn't do nuttin like that. Shot him a couple times and he died.

Wow, yall know a lot about BTS. They weren't even that bad ass tbh, they just rolled in mobbed up and robbed drugged out hippies and ravers. I mean who's really gonna fight back in those scenes? Its smart tho.
