Is there a definitive reason on why Meldish was killed?

Is there a definitive reason on why Meldish was killed?
And the proven players involved?
It seems like from the disparate pieces of info on the Internet..
- Meldish was assaulted by Bonannos for sleeping with Mancuso's girlfriend
- Meldish sought revenge by hiring Terence Caldwell to shoot Bonanno solider Enzo the Baker
- But Meldish peeled off and left Caldwell twisting in the wind after the shooting
- Meldish was considered an associate of the Lucchese's so they needed to whack him before the Bonanno's responded in a worse way
- There was already tension between the two families over the social club incident (Crea Sr confronting Carl Ulzheimer or vice versa)
- So Lucchese's arrange for Caldwell to return the favour to Meldish for ditching him.
Is that the court proven story on what happened? How did they convict Crea Sr, Jr, Madonna and whoever else? Appreciate I could be wrong here so educate me if you understand it to be different.

Re: Is there a definitive reason on why Meldish was killed?
IMO opinion it was probably a mix of all of that. But I believe the court reason is he told Madonna to fuck off with his 100k debt to him.
Caldwell was nabbed via DNA evidence and Londonio via surveillance cameras when he used his own car
I know people will argue Crea was innocent and what not but he was convicted and he ain’t getting out

Meldish is a tough guy. Why does he need caldwell to shoot? I get that it is a drive by...But do you really need a shooter. I suppose you can shoot while moving but...Adding another person to the conspiracy? He must have a bunch of shit on caldwell or paid him well.

Don’t say he ain’t getting out. Convictions can be appealed and things CAN be overturned but yes the likelihood of that happening is low.Dave65827 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:24 pm IMO opinion it was probably a mix of all of that. I always wondered how Meldish was able to recruit Caldwell to kill a made guy. Must’ve payed him imo

Him and Meldish where supposedly close friends. But my theory is when he left him in the wind after the Enzo stagno shooting something that was HIS idea he was probably like Fuck you and signed up for the hit.slimshady_007 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:28 pm I always wondered how Meldish was able to recruit Caldwell to kill a made guy. Also is Caldwell a gang member or a independent racketeer I wonder what’s his backstory

I get what your saying but I doubt it. They’re keeping Peter Gotti and he’s old and senile. They kept Persico till he shit himself.
They literally released that White Taliban guy but will never release a LCN member he’s going to spend he rest of his life in prison

What was the proof Crea Sr and Jr were in on it?

But he was found guilty of it right? Based on what evidence?
And for Crea Senior?

No. Crea Jr made a plea deal before trial. He wasn't in the actual trial. Look at his sentencing documents. He didn't plead guilty to Meldish murder only whatever else was in there, but not that.InCamelot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:22 pmBut he was found guilty of it right? Based on what evidence?

Re: Is there a definitive reason on why Meldish was killed?
The appeal will go to the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. 96% of all federal criminal appeals there are affirmed especially when the convictions were based on a jury trial and not a trial by just the Judge. Affirmed means the verdict is upheld. After that Crea, Sr atty's can file a writ of certioari to the US Supreme Court but that will be denied. The US Supreme Court gets over 5,000 writs from the 12 Circuit Court of Appeals and only takes an average of 75 cases a year - so forget that route. Crea, Sr. will certainly file that writ and when it is turned down a year later his attorneys can then go the civil route by filing what if known as habeus corpus petition or a 2255 motion. Those petitions are also rarely granted in the US COurt of Appeals. So in other words, Crea Sr. is fucked - big time! He will be doing a Vinny Gorgeous Basciano or Frankie Locs Locascio scenario where you hope someday you will get out but the reality is you are just being jerked off by your attorneys.
Re: Is there a definitive reason on why Meldish was killed?
Yaeh it was so.e special rule the judge instructed basically told the jury if you think crea was part of the mafia family hes guilty of all the crimes they committed. I would have pounded home the fact vic amuso is the boss and only the boss of the family can order the murder of a associate or another memeber.
Re: Is there a definitive reason on why Meldish was killed?
I read in the tesitmony that the defense was also arguing that the Genovese family was behind it.InCamelot wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:18 pm And the proven players involved?
