pietro licata was murder in november 1976. i think this is when galante started making moves. this guy was a powerful capo and then galante puts sal catalano in his place or maybe phil rastelli okd it. also paolo violi in jan 1978 but galante went to jail for parole vioaltions in nov 1977 but might have oked it before he went in. galante was only acting boss for a little over a year but ran all the inductions of new guys in late 76 till he goes to jail in late 77. so all those guys basically thought galante was boss but he was only acting for rastelli. all those hits they say galante did to other familys i m pretty sure is bullshit. and the commission didnt put out the order to kill galante it came stright from rastelli in jail. the internet also says nicky glasses the underboss was demoted from his underboss position but i think that is incorect to. he was a vistor to rusty in jail weeks before galantes murder and just happend not to be on the seen when he got murder with all his guys. i think the picture at the ravenite was steve canone was close to neil and happend to be there as he lived close by

Nicky Marangello was demoted after Galante was killed. Lefty Ruggiero said Marangello and Mike Sabella were going to be killed for being Galante loyalists but they got a pass and instead we're just demoted and for all intents shelved.
