Unless I'm bigly mistaken, I'm almost positive it was Fiore. I think that wherever you got that transcript made a typo.

Unless a lot of people have been mistaken, it was Fifi. I don't have the transcripts of the recorded conversation in Miami in front of me, but my understanding was always this was Fifi and Turk recounting the Jackson thing to Cerone and Dave Yaras.

Over the years I've seen people claim that Cerone and Yaras were also among the group that participated in the Jackson killing. Doesn't seem likely, as why would Buccieri and Torello need to tell them about it then? I've also seen people state that Sam Destefano, Alderisio, and Cowboy Mirro participated as well.

What's the best info on who all most likely actually participated?

As I recall, Buccieri, Turk, Jackie Cerone, and Dave Yaras were in Miami to kill Esposito. While they were down there, Buccieri and Turk were captured on a wire describing the Jackson murder to Cerone.

As I recall, Buccieri, Turk, Jackie Cerone, and Dave Yaras were in Miami to kill Esposito. While they were down there, Buccieri and Turk were captured on a wire describing the Jackson murder to Cerone.

I mean it's certainly possible, it's been a long time since i've read the full wiretap transcripts from the Miami excursion. All i know is that that snippet is the one i remember most about the AJ wiretap and it was always labeled that way.

Interesting comment in this report. When discussing the value of electronic surveillance on LCN, it states: "The term Boss, Consiglieri, Caporegima, Borgata, L.C.N. Mafia and Commission are heard in the Chicago area."

This at least seems to suggest that the FBI ELSUR program in Chicago captured someone using the term Consigliere.

I knew I wasn't crazy so I looked in Roemer's book and he claims the transcript came from a bugged house in Miami. It's on page 276 if you have Man Against the Mob.

Vincent Inserra, his boss, said it was from the Armory Lounge, although Life magazine says the convo took place in Miami. Will have to see if an FBI file gives the source.

There was a *similar* conversation in Miami, but it's a guy named Pete telling the story. The FBI couldn't identify this Pete. I think Pete was what they heard as "Feef."
