I have always found it very interesting that Lancelotti has never done real prison time. Seems very odd to me. Everyone else in the Merlino Gang has been arrested and done serious prison time. Except Lane....

Apparently he was a low-key earner who made millions of dollars through loansharking and legitimate business.

Re: Made guys who operated a long time with few or no arrests?
Mikey Lance has been arrested twice for minor bullshit. First time was when he punched a guy in the face in front of the cops after a bar brawl at the Chickies and Petes in South Philly in I wanna say 2005-2007ish and then the second time was the big Borgata bookmaking bust but his lawyer was able to get those charges dropped.
That Borgata bookmaking bust was at the time Mikey Lance’s crew’s big Sportsbook operation. Dom wasn’t even straightened out yet and was just a low level associate who just recently started gravitating from 10th and O gang towards LCN and Nicodemo was a new soldier then at the time supervising that whole operation for Mikey Lance’s crew.
Man have things changed since then....

One thing I’ll also say about Mikey Lance is that the guy seems to be everywhere in South Philly always out and about.
I seriously feel like every single time I’m there in South Philly I see Mikey Lance out and about.

Jackie's been busted a few times. Gambling in the 80s. Gambling and tax evasion in the 90s. I believe it's one of the reasons he was the only one to go to trial in the 2006 racketeering case. He would have faced lengthy minimums if he plead.

If we're talking guys within the last 30 years, Al Tornabene in Chicago.

Correct. He’s had minimal trouble (few arrests in his career). He beat the 2006 case.

Pittsburgh: Frank “Sonny” Amato Jr. was never arrested. Mike Genovese did a year for contempt in the late 1950’s never to be indicted again. John Bazzano Jr., only did time in 1975 for violation of the Hobbs Act. Charlie Imburgia aka Charlie Murgie, Warren, OH Rackets.
Bufalino Family- Philip Medico, William Medico both never served time. Michael Insalaco may have had one gambling pinch but operated quietly for decades.

Joe Todaro Jr

I remember reading an old article about Silvio Devita getting arrested and possibly sentenced to life for murder back in the 50’s or 60’s. But if it’s in the last 30 years then I don’t believe he has a conviction that recent.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 12:18 pm Westside: Michael Ragusa, John Brescio, Silvio DeVitta, Salvatore Gigante, Albert Gallo, DiNapoli.
There’s a tonne.
Re: Made guys who operated a long time with few or no arrests?
I guess I interpreted the question a little differently. Jackie Giacalone got sentenced in two separate federal indictments. One in the 80s and one in the 90s. And chose to go to trial(and beat) a racketeering indictment in 2006 because if he was convicted/plead he'd be a three time federal loser. I'd have to look it up, but he's probably done about 6 years federal time. So I didn't think it applied to him.JCB1977 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 9:26 pmCorrect. Angelo Acquista, Domenico's doctor brother, was being probed by the feds in the late 90's for fraudulent billing and threatening co-workers at Lenox Hill Hospital that he'd "get someone to break their legs" if they gave him any problems. Don't know whatever came of that, though.JohnnyS wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 12:19 pm Domenico Acquista Gambino captain. Nobody had heard of him until Capeci mentioned him earlier this year and from what I've seen he has zero arrests despite being caught on a wire in the 80s by Dominick LoFaro. Listed as a Gambino asscioate in the 90s by the feds older brother of Angelo Acquista a famous doctor who bought an apartment in Manhattan this year for like 20 million.
Frank Camuso is another Gambino capo with zero arrests but his run looks to be coming to an end soon.
Here's an article about it:
