Well, history for one.
Detroit having 40+ members, including a boss, underboss, street boss, I don't know how many counselor emeritus, 5 or 6 captains, etc.
And skeptical would be more accurate than dismissive.

Genuinely curious I meant to write.
On another note, you think Guglielmetti is retired? He and GBorgesi weren't cellmates at Fort Dix? The pizza place in Westerly, RI ran by a Philly native, is just a place Anthony Borgesi, "Snitch" Frangipani and others in GBorgesi's orbit happen to drive hours to and from every week is to just hang out for a few cold beers?
Guys from all over do prison time together. Those two sharing a cell is a far cry from Borgesi running a crew 300 miles away by remote. But hey, if more solid info comes out that verifies your reporting, I'll admit it and give you credit.
Interesting article Scott. You'll never please everyone but that's more about them. Good reporting in a difficult field. I bet the FBI were wetting themselves when they got that seating chart.

Jerry Longo’s place up in Westerly. He’s been in the casinos for awhile and he’s in with those guys....

Perhaps I’m confused, isn’t the GR article referring to Genovese Patsy Parrello not Anthony Parrillo from Rhode Island?
Yes, the article talks about Genovese captain Patsy Parello.
Anthony Parillo from Providence was brought up because, while Scott has identified him as consigliere, other news reports have identified him no more than an associate at most.

Yea, sorry about that. I realized after I posted. I would have deleted but couldn’t figure out how to do that on my phone.

Funny thing though about that Borgesi article is that George’s daughters wedding hasn’t even happened yet. It is slated for April 2021.
Well that's confusing...
Does he have more than one daughter?

And Parillo not just being the Consigliere but "next in line to be syndicate Don" and it turns out he wasn't even made. You can add claiming that the UnderBoss, Consigliere and two Capos are in Providence when LE publically said that Providence is decimated with only 1-2 active members with the UnderBoss being in Boston.
We see a similar pattern on his reporting of Chicago. The Feds publically announce 28 made members and more recently the family running on fumes while Scott claims 60-80 made members with the usual overly hierarchy structure with every other member holding an administration spot at one time or another.
But since we are talking about Philly he has plugged everyone from John Ciancaglini, Chickie Ciancaglini, Ligambi, Borgesi and Faffy Iannaerella in as UnderBoss and Consigliere during the last 5 years when we now know that Mazzone and Licata held those spots during all this time. Also off on when Sonny Mazzone was made. And don't even get me started on the fake dialogue.

Well there you go. If NJShore is correct the entire premise of this discussion is based on a complete fabrication.
Pogo
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
Pogo, I am 100% correct about when Borgesi’s Daughters wedding is, it’s 4 months away in the future.
That was what was beyond bizarre about that recent Scott Burnstein Borgesi article. I honestly think someone is feeding him made up fantasy stories at times about what’s going on in South Philly and he’s not doing his follow up homework. For example, it’s an easy simple one second Google search to corroborate when Borgesi’s daughter’s wedding is.
Whoever Scott’s “source” in South Philly is , is making him look like a complete and utter fool at times, in particular I find with Borgesi.
I’ll give Scott credit though where it’s due, he was the first to report and was 100% spot on over the years about Mikey Lance and Dom but at certain times especially when it comes to Borgesi I find his information is way off, it’s clear that whoever his source is on Borgesi is feeding him fantasy tales and he’s not doing his follow up homework/corroboration .
About Vetere, I have nothing to comment on about his rank, but there's reason to believe he is still connected with the Philly family. Is it purely social? Maybe, but he's a made member so social contact reinforces his relationship to the organization. Without more concrete info I'm not going to be sold on him holding a specific position, but he's a made member and there is precedent for a Philly Boston captain, so it's not the most absurd idea we've heard.
Strangely enough, Vetere hadn't used his Twitter account for over a year but logged on in June 2020 to point out that it was South Philadelphia Italians who prevented their Columbus statue from being destroyed during the race riots. Seems like more than a coincidence that a Boston guy would log into his Twitter account out of nowhere just to correct the record and give South Philly Italians credit for defending a statue. It's almost like he is personally invested in South Philadelphia's reputation...
