Are Canadian Ndrangheta families making their way in United States without New York 5 families permission?
Ndrangheta are huge in Canada and are starting to bleed over the border into United States. They’re a separate org from the Sicilian CN. The amount of drug trafficking they control is insane. But are they making moves in United States without New York 5 families or Chicago outfit permission?

First time ive heard about this. I know there was an ndrangheta bust with a gambino associate in 2014 and the Gigliotti bust that might have involved a genovese capo from queens. These are the only instances of ndrangheta in the us that come to mind. I imagine if the ndrangheta went to chicago they wouldnt have to get the outfits permission for anything since the outfit doesnt really hold much power anymore.

In 2014, the FBI joined the Italian police joint operation on New Bridge which arrested members of both the Gambino and Bonanno families, as well as 10 members of the ‘Ndrangheta Ursino clan. I think if they really wanted they could muscle their way in pretty easily with the amount of power and resources that organization has. I would speculate without knowing for sure that they work with or alongside some,if not all, the 5 families. This is possible considering there is a good amount of relationships between Canadian Italian mafias and the USA families in Buffalo and NYC. I recently read that the Canadian factions are so powerful and so many leaders live in Canada now that they call the shots for what happens in Calabria from over in North America. I wonder how successful they would be in the cocaine trade in the USA if they tried to take control of the USA market. Obviously the Mexican cartels play a very pivotal role in the US drug trade and the people/orgs underneath them rely on their supply where as in Europe, the Ndrangheta gets it right from the source per se. People like Roberto Pannuzzi were brokering around the Mexican cartels and getting the cocaine straight from Colombia at insane prices like a few grand USD per kilo. Roberto's son married a Colombian drug lord's daughter too which really entrenched the Ndrangheta's relationship to the cocaine source as well. Even if the Ndrangheta never did a single pennies worth of business in the USA they'd be more than well off with what they have going on internationally elsewhere.givememysocks wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 4:01 pm First time ive heard about this. How many ‘Ndrangheta members are there actually in Canada? Like, what is their structure there?

Didn't Penissii mention he saw a crew on LI?
Met in a restaurant I believe, said he was impressed by how old school respectful they were. Also, as they were leaving they end lined up by seniority to say goodbye.

There have been a few Ndrangheta-related cases in the U.S. starting in 2008. All in New York and all having some kind of connection to the NY families.
The first was in 2008 and was part of a larger international bust of 175 people targeting the Gulf and Zetas cartels in Mexico and the Aquino and Coluccio clans of the Ndrangheta in Italy. The LCN connection there were New York-based brokers Vincent and Giullio Schirripa, Christopher Castellano (later shot dead in Queens in 2010), and others who purchased cocaine there to be sold at higher prices in Italy. These guys reportedly sought protection from the Genovese family, and to a lesser extent the Lucchese and Gambino families.
The second was in 2014 and involved 24 people charged in the U.S. and Italy. Among those charged in New York were Gambino associate Franco Lupoi and Bonanno associate Charles Centaro. Lupoi's father in law was Antonio Simonetta, a member of the Ursino clan of the Ndrangheta. They were using legitimate shipping companies to move cocaine and heroin from the U.S. to Italy.
The third was in 2015 and involved 13 arrests in Italy as well the arrest of 4 people in New York, including Gregorio Gigliotti. Gigliotti (who owned a pizzeria in Queens) was reported to be affiliated with the Alvaro clan of the Ndrangheta and also had business dealings with Giulio Schirippa. The LCN connection there came from two confidential informants in the case. The first CI told law enforcement he believed Gigliotti had received funding to purchase cocaine from Genovese captain Anthony Federici because he had observed Gigliotti and others bringing large sums of cash to and from a social club owned by Federici next to the Cucino Amado Mio restaurant in Queens. A second CI said Giglittoi told him his source of funding had been Anthony Romanello, who of course was in Federici's crew and eventually took over as captain. Like the other cases, this involved brokering cocaine destined to Europe.
Leaving speculation aside, we can see the drugs - primarily cocaine - involved in these Ndrangheta-related cases is not destined for the U.S. but ultimately Europe. The New York City cocaine market is mostly supplied by the Colombians and Mexicans, with the Dominicans as their mid-level wholesalers. The cases show the NY families are involved to some degree, directly or indirectly, through protection, brokering, or financing.

This guy BokaBreeze keeps posting pictures of alleged present day Outfit members on reddit. According to him the Outfit is still strong and active. It seems he has knowledge of present day Outfit. Is it possible that he is making up all this?givememysocks wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 4:01 pm First time ive heard about this. Sounds like a current board member here who claimed the same thing and also thought he could gain credibility by posting pics from Chicago.Nick Prango wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 1:14 pmThis guy BokaBreeze keeps posting pictures of alleged present day Outfit members on reddit. If this guy is saying the Outfit is strong, he's full of shit.
