Who is Johnny Tortora jr?

A recent article about him on lohud.com being fingered for the Ortiz murder by a rat ( Charlie/Carmine Francomano Jr , Lucchese guy) who fingered someone else 30 yrs ago, and the person he fingered plead guilty to the murder (Abdill Saez, and as did Carmine himself). Got me thinking, who is this guy the feds are trying so hard to get him re indicted for a murder. Tortoras attorney is Barry Levin and he stated the prosecutors are trying to use the information to extend his sentence.. he's the article again read it:

Now the feds say he helped run a bookmaking operation for the past 20 yrs.. it seems his last brush with law enforcement was in 2017 not incl this recent one when he destroyed video of Danny Pagano going into his check cashing store and was paneled for a grand jury....so he's at least associated with him, but his last arrest seems to be in 2001. In an indictment in Nov 2018 the feds say...it accuses him of committing crimes on behalf of "LCN"
From 1997 to 2018. So basically being associated with higher profile guy like Pagano and only arrested one time in 2001 seems pretty street smart to me. He was charged with state crimes in 2018 such as:
•Murder
•Extortion
•illegal gambling
•robbery

And federal crimes such as:
•extortinate loans of credit
•operating an illegal gambling business
•multiple offenses of trafficking controlled substances
•murder in aid of racketeering
•destroying evidence (at his check cashing store in Yonkers at 1 Saw Mill River Road)

when the feds arrested him in 2018 the FBI did not inform the Yonkers police dept and it was noted it was the third such case in recent months. Some corruption, bribery going on, idk?
He has brother Anthony Tortora who is an IBT member local 456 and I quote " little need to show" job. Anthony T also has a union paid for car. Anthony T used to chauffeur around former state senator Shelley Mayer.

Per gangland news: Johnny and Anthony T had a father in the genoveses named John Tortora Sr.
But after that I can't find any other credible information on this guy or any Tortora for that matter. When or if he was made? His associate? Pictures? Crew? Property? Nothing... he seemed to do a good job at keeping low profile..
I can't contribute like the other more senior members on the board do when it comes to researching and such, but I always read there stuff. So this is my way of contributing... judge, critiques? Criticism? Etc

Good write up. Seems like a "wiseguy's wiseguy" - regular work-a-day guy with his fingers in all sorts of shit besides the politics. If it weren't for the murder beef we wouldn't even know about the guy. Take into account the fact he's home already and it's safe to say this guy has had a pretty successful "career" . I wonder how many other guys are like this. There's gotta be tons
