Agreed about DiLeonardo. I believe he's also in that recent documentary by that British journalist. He definitely comes across as a "wise" wiseguy.

Yeah, as long as it comes unfiltered from DiLeonardo I would love to hear it. He is one of the most well-spoken and knowledgeable witnesses I can remember.
He clear up some things regarding the Gambinos in the 1990s. Hopefully there will be more stuff coming from him and that´s good for everyone who wants to learn without having to turn to MafiaWiki. One thing he said was that Gotti Jr, although he was the final deciscion maker among the members on the panel, he actually never held the acting boss position. Interesting.
There you have it, never printed before.

DiLeonardo is a shrewd character and I doubt he would continue to work with a blogger who twists his words and makes things up. This article like their ebook was really good in an informational sort of way. I am looking forward to the second ebook they are doing together as I believe all of us are. Even if you hate Ed scarpo we all want to know what DiLeonardo knows about the mafia and he knows a lot. So I say bring it on.

I found this article interesting. What I found most interesting was DiLeonardo saying Cefalu wasn't a money maker or revenue generator but rather a tough/stand up guy. In my opinion this lends credence to rumors suggesting he is a front boss.

I am of the opinion that a 3 man panel was running the family the entire time Cefalu was considered boss.

Let me add that I also believe Cefalu was the conduit between the panel members and the rest of the family captains. This set up reinforced the ruse of Cefalu as boss.

According to what Felice posted Cefalu really is the boss. He's not a front for anybody.

Seems to be lots of different opinions on this, some think Cefalu is boss, some think he's a front for John Gambino or Cali.

JG boss, imo

People just believe what they want to believe on this subject , the Feds believe cefalu is the boss and even Capeci backtracked last week , in this day and age if cefalu had stood down we would have heard about it

From this posting viewtopic.php?f=29&p=7644#p7644

john gambino is in a really good shape, at least he was until last summer. I don't know since then.
I thought he was basically the boss but I was told cefalu is a tough guy and he's not just a front boss, cefalu had more familiarity with steet guys, john was in prison too much time to be in full control of the family.
I didn't have any "official" talk in the last year so I know just what I read on here and on justice papers.
I believe his brother joe is the bensonhurst captain. mannino, inzerillo and some other relatives are under him.

How tough could Dom be? He's 5'7 and 145lbs? Lol maybe he means he's tough because the feds couldn't flip him and he did his time?
