Making ceremonies outside NY/nationwide membership
Have there been any confirmed or speculation in good faith on any induction ceremonies in the last 10-15-20 years in any of the so called defunct or small families left outside of the northeast? Also in terms of members leftover from defunct families or small families (yes I consider Detroit small but viable and lean towards KC still being a real family too but I’m talking remnants like Cleveland, Milwaukee, Tampa) fit in in terms of nationwide membership? Do they have any recognition from NYC. Is it possible that leftover guys can claim the mantle of boss and make new members? What does it actually take to be recognized as LCN if you prick your finger and take the oath and follow it? I mean really we have no clue. I lean towards maybe more goes on in a looser conflagration then many may be willing to accept. Just food for discussion I guess.

Some guy was saying Madison (Caputos) great grandkids were lobbying for membership due to their blood ties on this board. That they have a case. Not saying I believe it just saying maybe that would be a viable argument.
Re: Making ceremonies outside NY/nationwide membership
I don't think mob guys openly discuss making ceremonies outside of their small circle of fellow members. That's the point of a secret society - to keep it secret.
The only time this forum has truly received information about new membership, it has been through indictments and witness testimony from government informants - otherwise, any other claims are purely speculative.

Assuming they have interaction (most likely in prison) a member will recognize another member, as they both belong to Cosa Nostra. But in the mob landscape of today, and interaction with New York, any of those cities you listed above might as well be on the moon.Timmoffat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:29 am Have there been any confirmed or speculation in good faith on any induction ceremonies in the last 10-15-20 years in any of the so called defunct or small families left outside of the northeast? I'm still waking up at the moment, so maybe I'm completely spacing something, but I don't think we've had a solid report of any making ceremonies over at least the last 20 years outside of families in the Northeast. Which, by the way, has about 90% of the remaining membership in the U.S.
The LCN today is centered around the extended New York metro area, with much less activity in a few other areas of the Northeast, as well as Chicago and Florida. We've seen steady decline in membership in these cities you mentioned for decades. This shows that nobody has had any interest in claiming any titles, making any new guys (who are they going to make?), and starting up again. Not sure why they would do so now.
All roads lead to New York.

Dont count out Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. They still have active crews and control all the strip clubs and joker poker machines. You just dont give that up.

Pittsburgh is dead. Gone. Not coming back. Having a joker poker racket, and a last name ending in a vowel doesn't mean shit. I'd love to hear about the "active crews" you are referring to, and what strip clubs they run.NYNighthawk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:28 pm Dont count out Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.
