I’m not sure what other reasons there could be to explain why they have him listed that way but some of you might know more than me about that kind of stuff. Sometimes they don't list an inmate in the database for a couple of days if they are being transferred between facilities.

So if you're at the Westchester County Correctional Center you're not considered to be in BOP custody?

As it was explained to me: When at Valhalla in Westchester, a state facility that rents to feds, they show up as "not in bop custody." It also shows up as that status when in transit to a new facility as inmate is technically in marshal custody till designated.

This is Fact,I know cause I have two guys I know Both of them locked up in separate county jails here in CT. one is in Hartford county and the other Bridgeport ,ones case started off state and know is totally federal and the other has a state gun charge that the feds took over due to him being a already convicted felon. Both of these guys are going to federal court ,one of them ONLY Federal court.....When you look there names up in the FEDS it says same as Madonna's Not In BOP custody. You then look at the state inmate finder and they are both listed but with federal charges for one and the other has his state charges with a federal detainer

This has been going on Forever,years ago up until about maybe 04 05 guys going to court in the Feds used to be housed in County Jails in CT.....depending on the case of course.
.....Bottom line If your not being housed in a fed facility it will say not in bop custody

Even though there technically not in federal bop custody they get credited for time like any other federal prisoner
