They're around and kicking. Toms River and Elizabeth areas of Jersey are where most of them are around here geographically and the majority of them can trace their family roots back to Sicily, Ribera in particular (especially the old timers). They're heavily involved still in construction and anything that revolves around construction, now on the contracting side and not the union side as they lost control of the local they had for years here in Jersey.

That bust in 2015 with the Stagno crew were all brokesters who were nobody's and pretty much outliers in that family. They're very low key and I would 100% say the most "Italian" of the families operating here in Jersey. By the most "Italian" of the families here I mean that most of the DeCavs (again especially the older guys) were either born over in Italy and/or actually speak Italian. You dont see that at all in the year 2020 with all the other families operating here in New Jersey.

I used to see some of the older guys doing walk and talks speaking in Italian at the Mall in Toms River in the early morning hours mall walkers program, lol I kid you not when I was there getting my coffee at the Shore. Theyre still around and to me at least more of a "Sicilian/Sicilian-American Clan" that operates in NJ/NY than your typical totally Americanized LCN family. That's just my opinion from my observations and what I know & see around here in New Jersey.

I was walking all around Peterstown today. I have a week off from work and staying in one or the Elizabeth hotels so I figured whatever.

Crossing Elizabeth Ave. heading south/southwest into Peterstown and the neighborhood takes on much nicer look than the rest of Elizabeth, which is rather tough. The Portuguese are trying to make it nice but it isn't as nice as Peterstown.

I wanted to walk down past the Ribera Club and pretend I was headed to the community center but that would have looked shady. So I took in the partially open restaurants (John's caffe, rilottos, barrones). Some nice Italian flags and American flags in the neighborhood but mostly Portuguese flags. LOTS of Virgin Mary statues in front of homes.

Based on photos the Ribera Club seems to still be a thing and is directly across from the Peterstown Community Center.

With a massive, state funded community center next to it I doubt they are actively wheeling and dealing at the club.

Yes, Peterstown remains a well-maintained area. The Polish section of Elizabeth (where my family used to live) has not fared nearly so well. One good thing I guess about the Portuguese moving into the neighborhood is that they can keep the Virgin statues up lol (among other things, they have great food too).

Are they only from Ribera or any other towns in Sicily too? I know Majuri’s family is from Corleone, is he the only one or anyone else?

Also, someone on here once said Abramo is grooming Louie Eggs to eventually take the top spot. Is that still the case?

I'd like to know the same thing I've read somewhere not on this forum that Abramo is the underboss don't know how accurate that is
