The strip club is Temptations KC and the bar is The Cigar Box. I've always heard they are, or at least used to be, owned by connected guys.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 10:34 pm What about the strip club and the cigar place with the lounge singers that are right next to each other? Forget the name but there is no liquor in the strip club so people go back and forth between the two

Childish Gambino's name comes from the Wu Tang Clan name generator. https://wutangclan.net/name-generator/Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 3:18 pmThe thing about him is, he's not a rapper at all. At least not a "gangsta rapper." His name is Donald Glover and he is an actor who started out on the NBC sit-com Community. He also played the young Lando Calrissian in the movie Solo. No idea why he chose the music name he did.

Because it defies logic, common sense and the known facts. In 1987, at time when LCN was far stronger and when KC in particular was actually active and recognized by LE as such, they only had 2 crews. But now with over 30 years of generational attrition, no activity to speak of, only a few members still living and when they are no longer being recognized by LE as being a structured family they have suddenly grown to have 3 crews? Yeah it doesn't pass the smell test.

Because people have have a strange need to believe that defunct families are "quietly rebuilding" without interference from law enforcement. I'll admit, being from the Kansas City area it would be fascinating to find out that a fully-functioning crime family was still operating behind the scenes, but I also understand that that is a ridiculous, unrealistic idea.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 10:11 am^ Why does this even need to be explained?Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:30 amTonyd621 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:55 amWhy cant they have three crews now?Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:32 pm They didn't even have 3 Crews in the late 1980s.

The thing is, for Kansas City and a lot of other areas, law enforcement doesn't even need to be factored into it. Attrition has taken such a toll that the feds or state law enforcement can pretty much sit back and watch the remaining members die out. What's left in these cities have neither the desire or resources to rebuild.TallGuy19 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 11:23 amBecause people have have a strange need to believe that defunct families are "quietly rebuilding" without interference from law enforcement. Probably the case too, the feds don't even need to try to take out the remaining members, nature will do it for them. In meantime, they can focus on other things and not waste resources on an already dead organization.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 11:38 amThe thing is, for Kansas City and a lot of other areas, law enforcement doesn't even need to be factored into it. Re: Kansas City Crime Family
I think most of the remaining members are either retired, broke, or run legitimate businesses anyway. There was a story a few years ago about the son of some former mobster stealing like $300,000 from ATMs that his company was supposed to be servicing. Plus, we have Willie the Rat's son pleading guilty in that gambling case; it seems like the sons of these old-timers are more likely to be involved in crime than they are.

Re: Kansas City Crime Family
Agreed, most are retired or legitimate. Anyone else, it's the random, ad-hoc stuff I've mentioned before. Some guys here or there might be involved in something but it's generally on their own. Even the 2010 gambling bust, which involved several guys (one a made member) because of the nature of running a bookmaking operation, didn't have evidence of being overseen a traditional LCN family hierarchy. Some posters just threw all that in afterward so they could make sense of it in their own minds.TallGuy19 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 3:10 pm I think most of the remaining members are either retired, broke, or run legitimate businesses anyway. Well i think they do have 3 crews. Prove me wrong. oh you cant its all based on subjective feelings. Give me the evidence. Show me how its not possible bc it doesnt pass the smell test?
My smell test says they do have 3 crews and it say they dont defies logic. 1987? Yeah citing a report over 30 yrs ago. You dont know and you cant prove what you say.

The hell you talking about? That Kansas City is somehow in a better position than it was 30 years ago? On what planet does that happen? And considering what the feds have said, and the lack of indictments over an extended period of time, the burden is on you to prove that 3 crew nonsense originated anywhere besides your ass. Don't try go put this on other people because you're just making shit up.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:16 pmBecause it defies logic? And it doesnt pass the smell test?

Re: Kansas City Crime Family
How many people would they have in each crew? They have fewer than ten made members left, so if they have a boss, underboss, and three captains that would leave a maximum of one very old, decrepit soldier per crew.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:16 pmBecause it defies logic?
