The genovese also were the first I believe to have made it a rule or at least attempt to have members not be introduced to other members.

You dont know. What I read a while ago in an OC report out of NJ is that in an situation were it cant be avoided they would have a "commuter mobster" which was described as a guy who lives in say NY go to northern NJ to talk a guy who lives in say south jersey and or have guys who operates their crew/operations in one state require them to live in another. But its rare.
If I'm not mistaken it was they wouldn't introduce their new members to members of other families. Not within their own family. The Luccheses and DeCavalcantes also did this.
Pogo
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
Idk I remember reading that some Genovese guys dont even know who some members are in their own family. Just the crew. The OC report was from a status report New Jersey did back in 2004.

That goes for every family, I doubt most button men are paying attention to much else beyond their immediate crew.
