Mob Talk Sitdown 40

Notes for anyone who isn't subscribed:
Merlino gets out of house arrest next month, Anastasia believes he will stay in Florida
George Borgesi looks to be the one running what's left to run in Philadelphia, but neither GA or DS will definitively say that he is 'the guy'
Reiterates the point that Borgesi claims to be legit
Anastasia adds that if Borgesi was involved in anything illegal, the FBI would have likely done something about it by now
Anastasia describes Mike Lancellotti, Steve Mazzone and Marty Angelina as guys who look to have taken a back seat or just became more low key
Joe Ligambi is again identified as being retired
DS speculates that sometime in the future you could have Dom Grande move up to run the organisation if the older guys don't want it
Gambling and loan sharking have dried up because of COVID
They talk about the Rocco Maniscalco hit and the motives behind it
Anastasia notes that it's possible that it was a mob hit but he doesn't think it is
Anastasia believes it's more likely that it was the work of another group who borrowed money from Maniscalco and didn't want to pay it back
DS notes that an unnamed wiseguy lives about a block from where Maniscalco was killed, contributing to some of the speculation that the mob was involved in it
They talk briefly about updates on Anthony Comello's trial but nothing that hasn't already been reported elsewhere
An FBI agent and a Pennsylvania State trooper have been going door to door in South Philadelphia looking for a hook but so far haven't got anything

I agree with them on Dom Grande. If he manages to stay free in the next few years he'll be boss if he wants it.

Maybe DS should consider ad-revenue instead of a fee for gossip.
Re: Mob Talk Sitdown 40
I said in every Borgesi post this guy going legit was LOL. Dave and George even referred to him as retired in one video iirc. all he knows is this. of course he's all in

Exactly. Borgesi might have some legitimate businesses as a way to throw off the feds, but he seems like a street guy until he dies.
Wise men listen and laugh, while fools talk.
Re: Mob Talk Sitdown 40
we can say there's no money. no rackets. and ds and ga seem to say that a lot. over and over one might say. but every video I see everyone looks happy, new cars, nice clothes, no job cause they're all being filmed just hanging out. from mazzone to chang to Dom to ligambi to Merlino. they all look to be living extremely well.
how many people you know hang out in front of a clubhouse all day?

Re: Mob Talk Sitdown 40
None. DS and GA are living in the 80's and 90's. Comparing guys shaking down guys left and right and dropping bodies isn't what's happening today. The guys involved today choose to be involved, both wiseguys and their "victims". They are criminal networks, less chance for rats because you're only working with guys you know. Don't think we will ever know through the media the action that's going on but there is action going on.

These guys don't feel guilty charging money for this? Lol
Re: Mob Talk Sitdown 40
lets say Rubeo doesn't go bad. no one ever knows Philly was pseudo working with the Genovese in the bronx. I agree with you 100%. I know it to be true without knowing it to be true if you know what I mean.dack2001 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 6:12 am None. DS and GA are living in the 80's and 90's. DS and GA have repeatedly said there is not much going on on the streets, unless I’m wrong.Fughedaboutit wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 6:01 pm Really the only people calling philly broke are on this board
