Maybe you should listen more to posters like Pete & Frank & Electricslim who also live in Chicago but look at whatever is left of the Outfit in a more realistic way. ;)
It's possible at some point there were hookers run out of there. Also, Funkster is not the first to hypothesize about this. However, unless there is someone here that got their prick serviced, first hand, above Richards, none of us REALLY knows. I just think there less infamous places that would serve as better locations for Prostitution. I would also hope the sex workers would pick a slightly more upmarket location to host a lot of those SRO's don't even have AC.

Imagine, at the height of the outfit’s power, we would be deciding it’s fate based on whether someone got sucked off or not.

The F.B.I. knows the answer. The answer is "The Outfit is Running on Fumes" & if there were escorts being run out of those shithole apartments right above the Bar, Al Vena would never come near the place & Bobby Dominic would have already been indicted.

Sallet saying the Outfit is running on fumes, not only is the most reliable news we have on the Outfit in recent years, but also the most important, in my opinion.

Interesting statement about Geno DelGiudice, Vincent's dad who was also indicted in thus case. From the Sun-Times article:

"Also charged: DelGiudice’s father, a Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago retiree who also pleaded guilty to illegal gambling in 1996, the year his son previously was arrested."

I mean, this sort of profile in Chicago reeks of OC but I've never heard of Geno DelGiudice before this case so who knows. Also interesting in the SunTimes piece is that it's being alleged that Geno was involved in collecting payments from debtors and that Vincent was running to his dad Geno to tell him about guys who weren't paying up. Seems odd to have an 84 year old guy collecting payments from guys unless there was some reason to respect the old man. Again, proves nothing but stinks to me, especially considering that father and son were both convicted for gambling in the 90s.

Wait escorts out of the apartments above Richards? 😂 those shitholes are rooms with a communal toilet that crazy people and poor degenerates inhabit. As you said vena would not come within miles of the place if they were doing illegal business in those shitholes upstairs. This is laughable. Anybody that’s been there would know. Hell confederate you’ve never been there and even you know!!!!!

As noted in the political thread, Casey Urlacher was pardoned in this case. Also, CPD officer Nick Stella ordered to jail for beating the shit out of his girlfriend.

By the way, the indictment has apparently link this bust to Greg Paloian's gambling ring.

Good find funkster. I think most people with common knowledge of the Outfit, except the Outfit existence deniers, knew that it was Outfit connected operation despite the Outfit not being named in the indictment. This past year has showed that bookmaking is still their meat and potatoes. Another thing that has popped up in most indictments within the past 20 years is law enforcement personnel also being indicted. Wonder how the recent legalization will effect it.

One would certainly expect bookmaking to be Chicago's "meat and potatoes," like any other LCN family's (except the DeCavalcantes), but 2020 was sort of an anomaly. The 15 years prior, there were few bookmaking cases until you go back to the sports betting charges in the 2005 Family Secrets case. And then a few more in the early 2000's.
All roads lead to New York.

All these gambling busts in the last year are almost 100% certain to be tied to the fact that Illinois legalized sports gambling in June 2019. This also tells us something really important about the Outfit.

Do I think these were busts were launched and specifically targeted at the "Chicago Outfit"? No....I think they were targeting the largest illegal sports bookmaking operations they could find. However, us outfit watchers can clearly see these large operations most certainly were outfit operations. The reason you don't hear the word "outfit" thrown around too much in the mention of these indictments in the media is because it certainly seems they have become very good at using associates to run street operations. Nothing that can be traced directly to a member or made guy. When you don't hear a name like Caruso, Andriacchi, or whoever attached to these things it's easy to assume they are independent. I really don't think that's the case.

In my opinion, this tells you enough about whether or not the outfit is still raking in tons of money from illegal gambling.

Did the Feds ever put a dollar estimate on the DelGiudice operation?
