Yeah I’ve heard that Majuri is the boss also.
Everybody’s heard it, that’s what makes it a rumor, I think Pogo is just trying to stress that past predictions of Majuri’s position as boss have been proven wrong.
Honestly at this point it has become one of those things that has been repeated so many times on so many different sites that it has become accepted fact. Like Nick Corozzo being the real Boss of the Gambino family back in the day. This literally started with like 2 people saying they "heard it on the street" back in 2004 and it just took off from there. Despite it being repeatedly proven wrong up to 2015 people still seem to give the claim weight. Since 2015 we don't know who the Boss is so it could be him but it could just as easily be 40 other guys.
Pogo
Corozzo AND Steve Crea
BOTH proven to NOT be bosses
As well as John Gambino, Frank Cali....
The problem is that mafiawiki is like top research basically now and sites such as cosa nostra news (who somehow still has been the only one to name the "new Genovese street boss" , and other mafia search sjtes have just copied and pasted for content space basically

Crea being boss wasn't really an internet rumor it was reported by Capeci more than once. Capeci first reported it in 2012(?) then backtracked and said Amuso still holds the title and Crea is actually acting boss which wasnt entirely true. Even right before the Lucchese indictments in 2017 he said people disagree on the titles Crea and Madonna hold but Crea is viewed as the real boss. Pennisi said something similar in court.
The Crea is the real Boss/Amuso has no power thing was the accepted fact for 6 years before Capici made that report. This despite him saying during that time that Amiso was still the Boss. It also persisted even after Capeci corrected himself. A lot of these rumors accepted as fact things on the various sites exist despite what Cspeci has to say about them.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

I see people arent allowed to debate anything that hasnt been released in an FBI file on here still....Sad.

I wasn't going to stick my nose in this ... but you kind of opened the door. If you look at the Crea case....specifically in regards to Aiello....the government said he was a "soldier" and the informants who testified couldn't decided what his rank was. It varied from "capo" to "consigliere" to I don't know what. So, for me anyway, I probably would question anything the FBI came out with. But that's just me.
