What is the question? If you are talking about money scheme, the casino skims we're the best. If you are talking about a hit then it would be the the three Bonanno Capos hit.

Joe the Boss holding the ace of spades is my favorite but the best has to be Big Paul. Downtown NY,right before Christmas during rush hour. Also Carmine Galante has to be mentioned. The most famous though has to be Hoffa because even people that don't follow OC know about it but nobody still knows what happened for sure. I just yesterday finished "I Heard You Paint Houses" about Frank "the Irishman" Sheeran. Great book but i don't really know whether to believe it or not. Anyone else read it? And what do you think? The guy really had no reason to lie that late in his life and doubt he made alot of money off of it but who knows.

Any hit where a boss is taken out successfully. Whether it's commission-sanctioned or not, it takes so many layers of conspiracy, politics, and luck. It's amazing how few wars have happened because of bosses being killed, sanctioned or not. Even the Castellammarese war took a lot of political instigation and maybe even revisionism before it got going.

Giancana hit too. Just bc how guarded he kept himself. Another good money scam was the windows scam. On all of the projects. Which theres so many there. Queensbridge had ninety buildings alone. And thats just one set of projects

I don't think the Castellano hit was really the best, because it was successfuly prosecuted, therefore a failure for Gotti. Maybe the Hoffa hit is the best? Not only unsolved, but even generated conspiracy theories about where the body might be.

I would say the phone thing whatever Salvatore Locasio did with his crew. I think if you adjust everything over the years for inflation that it buys the casino skim a few times over and even beats the oil tax scam comfortably.
