Detroit- Early Hoodlum Joseph Girardi

Does anybody have any info on this guy who went to Pittsburgh from Detroit and joined up with the Volpe Brothers? It states in the latter part of the article that he had a piece of jewelry missing that identified him as a member of a Detroit Gang.

Any Detroit posters that can shed some light on Girardi?
