Bradford, PA (The Roaring Twenties)

Post by JCB1977 »

Bradford, PA is one of the most historical bootlegging towns in the country. Located 75 miles South of Buffalo and less than 20 miles from the Western, NY border, it was one of the busiest towns in America during its heyday with booze coming across Lake Erie from Canada through Buffalo through Bradford and then delivered into Northeast Ohio, Northwest PA, Southwest PA, and into parts of WV. It’s a great story of you like the old stuff. There isn’t a ton of stuff out there on the subject, but here’s some info if anybody is interested.

Bradford was the perfect location for distributing the alcohol for the tri state area. It was dubbed “Little Chicago” by the national media.
