It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

The track suits have been around for wiseguys longer than you've been alive, Pogo .

Sergio Tacchini track suits were big in the '80s and early '90s. I had every color, which I ironically just mentioned on the baby board lol. Then the silk Genelli suits in the late '90s, early '00s. Today, you see more and more of that velour shit favored by the Hip-Hop generation.

Now, don't get me wrong, some of those velours are very nice. But not the ones that show up in rap videos. Puma makes a nice velour track suit. You can even get it with the Italia soccer top.

You probably already knew this, PB, but Pogo was quoting Uncle Junior.

It always makes me cringe when I see photos of wiseguys wearing clothes made by Sean John and other black rap clothing lines. There is a photo from some years back of Gaeton Lucibello of Philly with his ear pierced and a Sean John track suit. Guy didn't look anything like that in the 90s.

I wasn't being a smartass, I meant it. Many of these guys dress classless. I'm sure when it comes time for a party they pull out a suit but they don't dress like that 24/7. Look at surveillance photos.

Lucibello has two earrings and wears Sean John and he's no spring chicken. And for years people theorized he was the consigliere of Philly.

These Bonannos were rounded up early morning but still. If someone swapped the headline for Bonanno mobsters to pedophiles would you know the difference?

Granted these guys may not be examples of the "norm" but neither was Gotti or Gigante.

Here we have Acting Boss Gieoli with his bitch tits. Looks like a homeless man arrested for vagrancy.

They looked more impressive at those times when everybody went around in suits with hats. When did it end by the way? 50s or 60s? Nowadays, they often look like street bums even when they are billionaires, both in Italy and America.

It's all about the times. Look at old photos from the 40s/50s/60s, everyone wore suits. Wearing suits/dressing up was more a product of the times than being a gangster.
