Remember this thing is a business first and foremost, bikers, Haitians who ever the fuck are going to take money over respect any day. Even the men of honour themselves more than not prize dollars over anything else.
Leonardo offers the best deal in town, who’s going to turn that down because he hasn’t pulled a trigger or gone two rounds with mike Tyson. It’s a business.
Making money is one thing, being taken serious by other factions another.
Name me one thing more serious than money?
Respect by the people on the street means a lot. If you can't trust them, it can ultimately affect the ability to make money. That said, staying alive is one thing more serious.

Bontate and Inzerillo had the money and the connections, yet were killed. Did people believe they could make more money with Riina, or was respect/fear a decisive factor?

Do we really want to add up a who wins list of tough guys vs dollars?

For every example you quote, there’s five on the other side.

This is a business. Money talks, everything else, walks.

Even President Trump states in his books, that he would rather be feared/respected, than loved!!

Power sharing could be in place as well, that’s what Vito did when Montreal was somewhat organized.

Even after the brazen hit on Salvatore Scoppa, the Cops and Media didn’t do that much. Shows that the influence, bribes and corruption must be flowing at a level, where Montreal, might be just focused on being Montreal, again. Rather, than being focused on who the new Don is.

Yep I've always thought this would be a great movie even before Vito died. The story was that good. Now it's even better as many people thought the Rizzuto's were done in Montreal more than once, that's for sure.

After getting rid of the Scoppa's, I'd say Rizzuto/Sollecito are firmly in power now and not having to look over their shoulder anymore. They'll only get stronger from here on out, especially since they have seemed to partner up with Mirarchi.

Lupara, this would be one helluva mini-series on HBO where you have like 5-6 or more episodes at the hour to hour and half like most have these days. That way you pull way more than a few hours that a movie would tie you down to but yet you'll have about 7.5 hours if you just done 5 hour and half shows.
If I didn't have my case coming up, I would like to come back with you gentlemen when this is over with and really lay the law down what is going on in this country.....

I wish someone would do a series on it but do it right...with factual info and not make it corny like bad blood was...The real story is so much more intriguing then anything that is made up.
That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

Yeah a mini-series would be the best of both worlds. In retrospect, a mob show with multiple seasons about "some mob boss in Canada" may not attract a lot of audiance.
So it should be a sort of Capo dei Capi.
