I will admit. She did more for New York than Bill DeBlasio and Alexandria Cortez ever did, or could combined.

Especially AOC, the bitch behind the Green New Deal. Nothing Hillary could do could be worse than that piece of shit anti-American plan that she proposes, and Sander’s backed. New Yorkers actually liked Hillary for the most part, we all hate Comrade Cortez. Her getting elected was a fluke, she’ll lose her seat in Congress, no doubt about it.
I can't believe a guy...a white guy at that...is dating that shrill bitch.
Who are you kidding? You wouldn’t fuck her?
Yeah, c’mon guys, we’re all thinking it.
Shes got a nice chest on her and she is pretty in the face too. I wonder what that guy shes with has that attracts her to him. A big bank account or a big salsiccia? Maybe both. Salute!

I lived in Brooklyn for the end of the real NYC.

I got to experience a little of the old school New York such as seeing junkies shoot up in thompkins sq park or certain areas being really rough (such as bedstuy- where I eventually moved too). It went from you could do whatever the fuck u wanted and whenever u wanted ....
To a complete tourist friendly crazy shit hole city.

I moved back to Detroit 6 years ago... And never left after the bs of living in NYC. So much easier.

I will admit tho... There's nothing like that NYC grind... Hustle all day. On so many things...

Ud know a guy for everything... And hustles and scams and whatever... Just came to you
HANG IT UP NICKY. ITS TIME TO GO HOME.

Fuck her to death maybe, like the socialist Mexican immigrant anti-American piece of shit that she is.

She’s Puerto Rican buddy. Not Mexican. But I’m sure those ethnicities are the same to you. No stick in the fight. Just saying.

People who arent from this area need to understand though that 100K here in NYC/Jersey isnt the same as 100K a year out in Casper, Ohio. Its a nice middle class salary around these parts.
I live in NJ (work in NYC) and this couldn't be more true. In fact, I'd go as far as to say $100K here might not even be middle class

Often, I think to myself, why the hell do I live out here and put myself through this (sky high real estate costs/taxes, insane commute). Honestly, it's only because of my family at this point. When my parents are gone, I'll have to seriously reconsider.
Yeah, I don't know if I would call it Middle Class either.
True, Lower Middle Class is 100K a year here I would say.

It's really tough to make it around here and a total rat race not many people are cut out for, why when I travel to other parts of the USA I am blown away by how slow and stupid some of these people are in places in Middle America and The South.
I'm from the city myself originally a long time ago uptown. You say it's a rat race, hard to live, get horrible value for your money and THEY'RE slow and stupid? I travel all over the country on business for 40 years. Many people in the south and Middle West are sharp as hell. Most people in NYC out of very small sections can barely spell. In reality, people in other parts of the country don't feel the need to impress others or try to show off how smart they are. Especially in the South, business people know how easy it is to play New Yorkers because they talk so much they give themselves away. People who only know NY, LI and NJ know only the tiniest part of the world, and usually only a very small part of those places. They're viewed as pretty dumb elsewhere, except for people from tiny slices of Manhattan and Brooklyn, who are viewed as assholes rather than dumb.

My favorite thing about New Yorkers is when they travel to other parts of the country and whine about how there is "no culture" in those places.

I've had to listen to this three times in Las Vegas so far and it will never stop being funny. I mean, it's a resort city out in the desert. The fuck were they expecting, Broadway?

My advice to these people? Just stop leaving New York, easiest thing in the world.

Bruno187 wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2020 9:06 pm I find this an interesting topic. Most of the posts are right. There is no single factor that makes someone go into the life. I grew up in the Bronx in the 70's 80's and 90's. My Dad was half a wiseguy and made a ton of money in his day. He was dead set against me going into the life. He really forced me to go to school and get an education, and I'm very grateful for that. I am a quasi successful healthcare entrepreneur and make a very good living. If I had WANTED to go into the life, it was there, and nothing he could have said would have dissuaded me, but I saw the way things were and was absolutely positive I could do better on my own.
Interesting story.....when my father died, I had to go and take care of his things....and in doing so, I had to deal with his old associates, who I knew growing up. I was always around them, they saw me grow up and knew me very well. But in the end, nobody and I mean nobody came forward to help when things got sticky, as I might have alluded to in past posts either here or on the other board. I had to handle everything by myself. So a lifelong friend suggested "why don't you go to Patsy and see if you can get this stuff straightened out"......I looked at him like he had 3 heads. The LAST thing I needed was a guy who would move in on my business and maybe even bust it out. I told him he was fucking crazy.
In the end I played it like a legitimate guy, which is what I was....and came out OK. Better in fact than a lot of guys who went in and tried to either "go with it" or "fight it".
What I might also add, is that there is a definite "mindset" growing up in this background. It's almost like being brainwashed. When you come from this environment, oftentimes you don't even think of acting in a lawful way. If you grow up doing illegal or illegitimate things, that becomes the norm. Park on the sidewalk? Why not....Smack someone for talking to you disrespectfully?....of course. These things are kneejerk responses. I think of the young Henry Hill selling cigarettes who tells the cop, "no, it's OK....really, it's OK". That's the mentality.
I thank whatever god there is that I was smart enough to NOT get into that life and make my own, which can't be arbitrarily taken away by anybody.
That pretty much says it all. perfect. when my father was in ft dix I saw the ppl there wasting their lives paying five dollars in dimes for a tuna sandwich from vending machine? I can certainly take care of myself with my hands but don't have it in me to hit someone with a fungo bat over 2,500 dollars- if they wanted me to shoot someone, I'd probably faint LOL
Q: What doesn't work when it's fixed?
A: A jury!

She is, really? Wow. I genuinely thought she was Mexican, I really don’t think the two are the same. My wife is Puerto Rican / Italian, her mom full Puerto Rican and she doesn’t look remotely Mexican. You sure Alexandria Cortez is Puerto Rican?

Anyway, I hate talking to people from outside of New York, they always try making me say the craziest shit. “Say Cawfee”, “Say New Yawk”, “Say Turn that Awff”

I say go fuck ya self

But I live in Long Island, where all the fuck boy millennials think they’re all rappers and bloods, even though they’re white as paste, and they sell weed that smokes like it was grown in a fucking sump. Or all the guido dickheads that listen to EDM and snort heroin and eat molly, and think they’re all mafia figures because they share a common ass Italian last name with a gangster like Gambino.

Fuck I hate it here

that's what i mean, the canadian mafia members can be maybe more involved in international drug trafficking, but concerning the territorial power they are not even close, they don't control montreal like the mafia run palermo, they are not close to local politicians and public administrators like mafiosi in sicily
I wouldn't be so sure about that last part.

of course they have political connections, but probably they are more occasional and less systematic and the role of masonry is minor

Wow what a mook... Although I guess having your accent being mistaken with that of which someone from Boston. Is infinitely better than people from out of state thinking you’re from Jersey. Especially after they then find out you’re Italian too... Sweet mother god... Don’t even get me started on if they don’t know what you look like, they’ll assume you’re an MTV Jersey shore stereotype, it’s fucking crazy lol

I don’t know what it is about people from every where else in the country, they’re fucking weird. Putting mustard on their burgers and shit, it’s nuts

As far as condiments, ketchup, mayo, and mustard go on my burgers. What's supposed to go on them?

Not mustard, that’s for sure lmao

Ketchup, mayo, cool. But mustard???? That’s some crazy shit you’ll never see happen in NY. Whenever I leave the state, anywhere I got that I order a burger I gotta literally say no mustard, and they look at me like I’m crazy lmao
