No ones comparing the Vikings to a cosca, just saying that Black Axe got busted, and the Vikings filled the void... and you have to have a degree to be a member.... that's about it...

No one is going to takeover pizzo collection, or exercise territorial control in Sicily, or Calabria, or Naples...

But the migrant thing did create a lasting immigrant presence that given time could mature into something else....
i just said sicilian mafia/italian oc are not involved in prostitution so i was contesting articles/media claimed the opposite in order to hype nigerian gangs that challenged etc. anyway yes they have to have degree to be a member, the cults were born and raised inside benin city universities and pretty much organized, in fact the italian dia considers them currently the most dangerous among foreign groups

I don't think they will ever mature into something else, something bigger and more serious. It is possible in north but not possible in south

but even in the north i doubt they will mature something bigger because southern italian oc dominate the most lucrative criminal rackets over there (money laundering, gambling, construction companies, waste disposal, importation and wholesale drug market etc.) and police would stop eventually any attempt, it is no coincidence that the dia is monitoring nigerian cults by far more than other foreign gangs because more similar to italian mafia-type groups

I completely agree with you, its almost impossible for foreign groups to make big/strong presence in any country that has strong organized crime groups.(Italy,Mexico,Russia and so on)

Last year they killed accountant Antonio Di Liberto brother of the former mayor and cousin of Filippo Bisconti. Looks like they are going for his family members.

All of Italy now locked down for Coronavirus. Wonder how this effects operations for the Ndrangheta, Camorra, and Cosa Nostra.

All those bunkers that the bosses have been building over there for the last 30 years might start to come in handy in a way they never imagined.

It’ll be interesting to find out how they figure out a way to profit from this pandemic

Dutch drug pact: there is the Contini-'ndrangheta axis
The last frontier of narcos: cocaine and money camouflaged between plants and flowers. La Dia reveals the unprecedented agreement between the Arenaccia clan and the Commisso family

NAPLES. There is never an end to the discoveries about the Camorra clans. Reading the latest report of the Dia (Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate) we learn that the Contini del Vasto-Arenaccia (historical base from which they expanded in Italy and abroad) have never undergone internal divisions and for a period they would have organized drug trafficking and counterfeit banknotes with Holland.

Drugs and money traveled together with plants, but that's not all: running the business with the Neapolitan group was the underworld family Commisso from Siderno, in the province of Reggio Calabria, linked to the "'ndrangheta".

The Dia writes: "Despite the long detention of the historical leader (the boss Eduardo" 'or Roman "), the Contini clan has never suffered internal divisions. The association has an articulated structure, composed of territorial substructures, each operating on a portion of the vast territory controlled by the clan and subjected to one or more regents who, in the management of illegal activities, must comply with the directives of the leaders. Many of them were arrested as part of the "Cartagena" operation, which involved leaders and affiliates of the Contini, Bosti, Licciardi and Mallardo di Giugliano clans in Campania, gathered in the cartel known as the "Secondigliano Alliance", investigation concluded on May 26, 2019, with the execution, by the State Police, of precautionary measures ordered against 126 subjects contiguous to the Alliance ".

A significant position within the Contini clan, writes Dia, "is attributed to the Botta group of the Rione Am Friendship, a bond also sealed by the establishment of ties of affinity between the Botta and Bosti families, following the marriage of the son of the head of the first group with the daughter of the head of the second group. One of the strengths of the Contini group are its links with other associations, such as the Rinaldi-Reale clan of San Giovanni a Teduccio, Di Lauro of the rione dei Fiori (the "Third World"), in the Scampia district, Piccirillo della Torretta, the Cava di Quindici (Avellino, the Moccia di Afragola, the Cesarano di Castellammare di Stabia.

The Contini clan can also count on large illicitly accumulated capitals that have been reinvested in diversified activities, both outside the region and abroad: in the operation " Cartagena "refers to investments by the Contini and Mallardo associations in the Republic of Santo Domingo".

But the "Cartagena" operation has also brought to light the relations between the clans and the Commisso of Siderno in relation to the manufacture and marketing of counterfeit banknotes of various denominations in Italy and transnationally, specifically in the Netherlands, as well as imported drug trafficking in Italy through not only the Netherlands but also Spain.

The drug came from Venezuela and Colombia. The conclusion of the Dia is that the Contini, despite the blows suffered, are always a strong group.
